Broadcasting Across Network

Is there any way to broadcast using Shoutcast across my network with my firewall enabled? I can not just disable ports in my firewall.

Depending on your network configuration you should be able to broadcast within your lan if all your client machines are inside your firewall.

If the DNAS (SHOUTcast server) is running the firewall, then you will need to open the ports.

If you want to broadcast to the world, then you definately will need to open the ports.

If needed, make sure the correct ports (default 8000 and 800+1) are forwarded to the DNAS machine.

Do you just not want to open the ports or you don't have access to the firewall settings?

i already figured it out. i have full control of the firewall, it dosen't have the option to enable ports.

Use port forwarding.
