What kind of watch do you have?

Well, I've got a decent (but crappy) sports watch I got at Target for $20, but when I get an extra $200 laying around, I'm getting the Super Rover watch from Nixon...

http://www.nixonnow.com/prod_images/11-hero_f19.jpg

Here's a closeup...

I wanna get it in the blue color scheme, but they're sold out of it right now...Good thing I'm not getting it now...

And if I have another $25 too add to that $200, I'll get the Super Rover SS instead! :D

Atmo 6th February 2003 18:41

My watch is pictured below. It's a Benrus. Don't know how much it cost, it was a gift.

liquidmotion 6th February 2003 19:21

i also rock the Benrus form walmart :)

all platinum (colored), though.

The background counts Kanji 1-60. :)

I have gotten more comments on it then anything I have ever worn. Ever.

anubis2003 6th February 2003 19:49

I have a lucky charms watch. It goes great with my bowling shoes(soon to be replaced by 18" clown shoes).

missyob 6th February 2003 20:13

I use the clock on my cell phone.

d0rk 6th February 2003 20:21

Thats not a watch :P....and m0e are you some 60 year old hippie. "I refuse to participate in your concept of time" pfft.....

Kinetik* 6th February 2003 20:35

Right now I have a crappy 20 buck watch from Walmart. A Timex 'Ironman' I think it is. As of my birthday, my girlfriend plans on getting me a good Fossil one. A japanese character one, similar to the one Xerxes has.

Mrs_Mia_Wallace 6th February 2003 20:41

I got a 5 year old Calvin Klein watch (it was a Birthday present) with a silver band and the watch itself is white and the numbers are just kind of engraved. I'ts small, nice and reamains unnoticed.
(don't have a pic right now, try to get my web cam working again)

Mia:)

Dern. That is pretty cool. I just have an el cheapo watch from walmart, but it sure looks good from a distance.

Xerxes 6th February 2003 20:45

It only cost 50-60 dollars. It isn't a 15 dollar Casio, but it's not exactly a rolex. Or worse, that ingenious transparent sapphire crystal mechanical watch Bop posted awhile back. ;)

Kinetik* 6th February 2003 20:49

Yeah I remember that. We were all wondering how it worked... SOmething about crystal gears that you couldn't see.

I have a Swiss Army watch. It has a white face, green glow in the dark hands, and stainless steel body and strap. Oh, did I mention that it has a rotating bezel?

zootm 7th February 2003 08:53

i have this watch. my gran bought me it for my 18th birthday. it's not like it's any kind of special watch, but i don't care about watches to be honest... doesn't seem a hugely worthwhile investment.

on the other hand, my friend had this watch where the hands were painted on, and the numbers moved round the outside. that was cool.

it's a bit like that, but not quite (less detail)

fwgx 7th February 2003 09:36

I have an Accurist watch, it kind of looks like a divers watch but is more classy. It's got a dark blue face, it's silver with gold bits on the buttons, and numbers placed every 10 minutes around the edge - these are wearing off a bit now though. A chronograph tachmeter thing, a stopwatch and people always try to turn the bezel which doesn't turn, "but why doesn't it turn, it should turn", they whine, "No it shouldn't it's fixed, now fuck the hell off", I say. It came with a brown leather strap but now it's got a black one on it. I got it after my GCSEs when I was 16, still on it's first battery I think too :). I'll post a pic when I gat on home to me webcam.

Not a actually watch, but it does make me acutely aware of the time when I am not where I should be.

AjStone 7th February 2003 20:29

Um... It's a Timex Expedition. I like it alot, extremely accurate, like about 2 seconds slack each month, and that's with me wearing it while quading. :D

Wow, I read that sentence completely wrong(I think). It sounded like you were saying that your dad had gotten a present for your grandfather but gave it to you instead. LOL.
