What will you be up to next Friday? Any special lady/guy/ladyguy your dying to ask out?

How do you make an evening really special and romantic for the love of your life?

I wanted to ask out this girl, but she smokes and thats a major turnoff...she's super nice and says she's trying to quit. But if we do go out on Friday, prolly take her to a nice bar and sing karaoke and get booed off stage:p

I hate Valentines Day...I hate all this couples stuff...Huggin' and kissing...Bah!

Screw it all! And it's not because I don't have a girlfriend...

I'm together with my boyfriend for 1 1/4 year today...we'll probably go out Friday as we always do but we won't give each other huge gifts just because it's Valentine's day, we rather give each other little presents just because we were thinking of each other or we found something cute. Sometimes he writes me poems just because. It's nicer than giving stuff to you loved one because you have to because of that day.

But that's just my opinion (probably because V Day is not celebrated over here that much), it's still a good day to ask people out!

I broke up with my girlfriend a few weeks ago, so i wont be doing anything.....Not planning on asking anyone out either, gonna enjoy the single life for a while.

I'll have been with my girlfriend for two years on April 22, she lives 500 or so miles away, I'm in NC, she's in Memphis, so I looked up the different flourists in the city where she goes to school at (Boardings school) and called oe up, had them to deliver roses to the school with a little note on valentines day.

Nothing. There's a girl that likes me, and I like her. Only problem is the Valentine's Dance is a Sadie Hawkins dance (girls ask guys), and she can't go. So I'm stuck. :hang:

Eh. I can't stand Valentine's Day. I asked for a Beckett hockey card guide. Prolly get him something dumb, too.

It's such a Hallmark holiday. Romance, pah. :\

Anyway this is a purely commercial day created for an obvious reason.
Love doesn't have a specific day to be celebrated, and I wanna be smarter than the big bad boyz. :D

I am cooking for Mrs B. Its also our 2 year anniversay (as in when i asked her out) on the 16th.

Not that we can do much, we are excessivly poor.

Right before valentines is the best time for guys to break up with girls and many guys do. Why? Because they don't want to have to buy a gift.:p Especially if their woman wants some nice jewelry or other crap.:p

I hate Valentines. It's such an illogical day.
If I loved someone why wouldn't I show them I love
them everyday, not just Valentines Day.
Why wouldn't I feel the urge to buy them a present everyday
or want to hold them or show more attention to her,
to tell her I love her, to make love to her, not just Valentines Day.
Remember in High School....
When couples would just hold hands and talk to each other and
just be everyday boring couples but when Valentines Day showed up
everyone wore their best outfits and acted like the perfect partner
Some roses here, some candy there. Then after Valentines Day
everything was back to normal,
Why? It doesn't make any sense.
If you actually care about someone wouldn't you care about them everyday.

i'll see my girlfriend at uni, but i'm working at night. valentines day just causes misery in general, more often than not, though.

hmm...not really...i'll prob spend it like i usually do any other day...working late, getting wasted and falling asleep on the couch.

my gd-publicized breakup came just short of me actually going out to buy christmas presents for the girl. so uhh, i guess valentines day is out of the question, then, eh?

i have a girl coming over tonight to watch a movie with me, but i'm about 70% sure it's platonic and about 60% sure i want it to stay that way. you do the math.

Don't think that would work to well considering the 9 to one guy to girl ratio. Unless............... :confused:

just like every other valentines, absolutely nothing. I too hate valentines it's a moment for those who do to show off to those who don't, it sux, and I am bitter, yes bitter.

Another Valentines Day...

All it means to me is that its pay day. Much like most of the forum population I am single. I guess I just don't have to buy a gift for anyone (except my sister whos birthday happens to be Feb. 14)

she just left after the movie, and now i'm 45% sure it's platonic and 50% sure i want it to stay that way. where's the third law of thermodynamics when you need it?

Well, the consuming habits are about the same I guess but not for Valentine's day. They sell some flowers and cards but it's not that big. The only time I got gifts on Valentine's day in my whole life was when I lived in the US!

I found out today that a class in my school is distibuting cards and roses that you can order a few days before and that they use the money for some good cause (probably they'll keep it and get drunk :p)and my boyfriend is one of those to distribute them, I told him to wear his angel's wings (the one's with ral feathers) he has up on his wall! Lets see, maybe he does ;)

Bah another crappy Valentines day. Just a day they made up to get more money. Valentines day means nothing to me, I'll be doing nohting. My parents will no doubt be going out so I'll spend the night in with a big bowl of popcorn and watch Starwars or another intresting scary movie.

You have a problem with us 13 year olds? we are certainly not crappy little people, dont diss us :p I have no-one but you dont hear me moaning about it I shut up and stay single. (dont mean to offend anyone)

Wow, I don't know where to start. Well there is a girl at school, and I bought her a Valentine's Day bear hoping to get her to be my Valentine. My school's tv production staff(which i am part of) will be broadcasting Valentine's Day messages during homeroom on Friday, and somehow, a note from me to the girl got in there....but who ever said since I didn't put it there, I should get rid of it? ;)
