my IP is always changing
is there something that would make it the same
|
Sure, pay your ISP extra $$$ to get a static IP.
|
dosent noip.com does it for free?
|
If it does, you already found a solution, then.
|
If you have a Dynamic Ip you can register for www.no-ip.com for free DNS. like mine http://elipse.no-ip.com:8000
There is also a lil program they have that runs on ur comp and will automatically keep ur no-ip updated with latest ip. Very helpful. If not you would have to go into ur account manually to update. |
try http://www.dynu.com dynamic IP redirect/update.
signup w/ them and dload the dynu basic client(basic is the free one) give the dynu client your username/pass u signed up w/ them w/ and u can run any type of server from yoursubdomain.dynu.com i had gilliam.dynu.com till i went premium to teamtao.com -G/K |
check out no-ip.com
awsome i have been using them for almost a year now! no popups or BS like that too!!! YAY |
nix on the popups w/ dynu.com too. still have gilliam and xgp15a2 .dynu.com after more than a year of inactivity.
it still needs the dynu basic client runing in the systray(clock area for ya noobs :P ), checks your IP addy every specified number of seconds and reports back to dynu's DNS, then yoursubdomain.dynu.com points to your IP all the time. |
