Streaming to VPN

I am sorry if this question has been asked before, I have looked and cannot find it. I am streaming from my personal PC at home, 400k SDSL connection, using Win XP Pro and shoutcast, The machine is behind a Linksys firewall DHCP server, the IP address is DMZ'd. I am trying to connect via my office PC, which is on a VPN. I can connect to my stream, but it will stop the connection periodically, or when the song changes. Is this a problem with running through the VPN? or is my shoutcast server not configured correctly? I would assume it is or I wouldn't get a connection at all. Anyway, any help on this subject would be of great help. Thanx.

Ok it appears that my problem is not just with my VPN, it cuts out on other networks as well. So my question is .....why does it cut out ? 207.179.222.182:8000 I am not dropping packets ...that I do know, other than that I don't know why it would do that?

I'm not sure how much we'll be able to help since it appears that you are not running the SHOUTcast DNAS (are you running SimpleServer?). Try using the SHOUTcast DNAS instead and see if the problem persists.

I grabbed DNAS and that seemed to have fixed it ....how stupid am I ? Don't answer that, thanks for the help.
