Buffering Problem

when i host my station, the only thing i have up and running is the shoutcast dns, the server prog, and nothing else so i asked someone i know to check the station out and see how it sounds, and he said it buffers every like 10-20 seconds. Is there anyway i can fix this?

edit*
iam on high speed internet (cable) also

thanks

Goldeneye2415 26th February 2003 19:56

my bit rate is : 128kbps 44.100khz, stereo
my friends connection is cable
specs of this computer is : Compaq 530mhz, 312ram, AMD K6 3D Processor

That is probably too high.
run the speedtest to find you max upload.
Try lowering the bit rate a bit.

You might want to drop that bitrate down a bit. 96kbps 44.1 still sounds excellent. Even 80kbps 44.1 is very good.

ya ok,thanks, my upload is 119kpbs so i guess that explains the problem heh

thanks
