Shoutcast server problem (bug?)

I am sending a stream to a SHoutcast (1.9.2) server running on a Linux box. I'm using Winamp and the SAM DSP plug-in from Spacial Audio. If I send a stream at any bitrate below 24 kbps, the
Shoutcast server instance seg-faults.

I'd like to be able to send a stream at 16kbps or 8kbps but am struggling...oddcast doesn't seem to work at all.

Any clues appreciated.
