*I left UnConeD's name off the list because of reasons stated in the "New mods needed?" thread.

Well even though Rovastar said there isn't going to be a new mod (well somewhere between the lines he said it :)) I still voted.

I voted too, but considering how fast my sensless treat has been locked by Rova, i still don't think that we'll need new mods.

Out of all those votes i got one, one stinking vote from myself. Haha i'd be better suited a reviewer or just plain old nobody. I do think that only people who are active in the AVS forum should vote though. Otherwise its just a popularity contest (my popularity must be sky-rocketing) and the person most suited to the job may not get it.

I don't think Rova will allow another mod - its the general impression I got.

Sorry atero but i agree with legohead. You may be knowledgable and respected but you have a short temper and it may result in unecessary bannings or flame wars from mods. Mods don't flame, they say, "flame again, and you're gone". Also i agree that although we are having this poll, i don't think Rovastar will mod anyone. Your third point i had already pointed out in an earlier post.

Atero, you shouldn't be an ass to anyone regardless of whether they're moronic or not. If they are simply point it out and correct them or ignore it.

Rova isn't the only one that can mod people, although he will have a lot of influence(I think). I think I may ask some other mods and see what they think.

i reiterate...would you guys lay off? the only time i've flamed someone in months is with legohead, and he really fuggin pisses me off. and you'll note that it was him who started the flaming - i just said as a mod i'd ban him if he continued to act like a moron and do things like needlessly insult people (which, you will also note, he proceeded to do.)

That's a less severe form of flaming right there. There is guilt on both sides. Just because he says something to you doesn't mean that you have to say something back. Let him get in trouble - I think it will be coming soon anyways.

No, I didn't say anything bad about him. I am merely referring to the fact that he could be getting in trouble if he continues to make remarks like he has been. I made no personal remarks about him. I did not call him a moron or anything else that could be classified as flaming.

Isn't it ironic how the method in which we try to prevent flaming and pointless posts has led to more arguments, flaming and just plain conflict as well as lots of unnecessary posts than i've seen in the past few weeks put together.

Yeah, but that could be somewhat related to there not being an active mod watching this forum(for the last few weeks, at least). I've noticed a lot of things being said that I don't think Rovastar or the other mod's would tolerate without saying something.

Have a look at Polymorph Forum if you want. I'm Admin there, the überGod so to speak. There's nothing cool about it, just the duty to keep it running and up to date.

Being a moderator is indeed great responsibility, but they still don't get paid. I just don't understand where that idea of payment comes from. Being a mod is a job you have to do with care and requires constant activity, but still you gotta admit that everybody else looks up to you also :)
