GeekAmp-esque Controls

Hi. I have one of those keyboards with the play, stop, etc controls and I was wondering if there is a plugin which emulates GeekAmp for Litestep. IE, something which allows me to enter play commands for Winamp into my keyboard's config. The keyboard's software comes with a default setting for play, which I assume is some default Windows system call which is somehow related to the CD player, but that compatibility with Winamp is a bit shaky.

In order to make use of these commands, I've been having to do a bit of jury-rigging. Right now I'm running Litestep over Explorer with nothing but geekamp and hotkeys loaded, then I set a hotkey to some obscure combination which calls the play command from geekamp, and then I set that to the trigger string in my keyboard's software.

(I realize it sounds like I'm rambling, but I'm trying to state my problem as clearly as possible) :p

So like, yeah. Any ideas? :D
