Plugin Wanted - Will pay developer

Hi.
I'm looking for a most unusual plug in. I'm streaming audio from a local volunteer fire department -- I am the person doing the streaming. The system uses Motorola's "Quick Call II" system which is a tone activated paging system. Essentially it works like this: You have a sequence of two tones at designated frequencies which cause a pager to wake up and "activate" when received by a pager set for that specific set of tones.

What I'm looking to do, is either on the stream input side -- before it gets sent to the shoutcast server -- or else on the listen side (which I why I think it could be done as a visualization) watch for the two tone sequences, and fire off an "event" on the system. Ideally, I'd like to be able to plug in a freqency pair, and then a command line to execute. Think of a table with multiple rows and three columns, column 1 = tone1, column 2 = tone2, column 3 = command line. The code would probably need a variable that could be configured to indicate the degree of variation on the tones that was acceptable --- a margin for error. Since all other noise on the signal is talking or background noise (its a fire scene after all) I'm not worried about music accidentally tripping it. The tones are QUITE distinctive.

In a PERFECT world, it would run at the same time and in the same winamp that the dsp is running to stream data to the shoutcast server, but that isn't critical.

What do you think? Can it be done?

Send me email if you think you can build this.
