Windows disappering
I'm sorry if this has been posted before.
In Winamp 2.9 and 2.91, sometimes when I start Winamp, only the library is showing. I have to clse Winamp, delete winamp.ini and restart the app = all configurations gone. Anyone know why this happens? |
Have you tried right clicking on the media library frame and reenabling the windows from the right click menu (do they call that a dropdown menu? am not sure right now)
That could solve your problem without having to go through the hassle of un- and reinstalling. |
Maybe it just minimizes into the systray. You can check this: Have Winamp opened. Press [Ctrl + P] -> [Display] -> [Show Winamp in:] select Taskbar Only; or whichever one you want.
Not sure if that helps, but it could be the cause. |
Yes, I've tried to right-click and I have to first uncheck them and then check them again to bring them back - the weird thing is that I'm able to bring all windows but the main window back.
And I show Winamp in the Taskbar only so it can't minimize into the systray. |
System specs? video card, sound card & windows os ?
Sounds like a dodgy 3rd-party plugin to blame. Installed any perhaps? Installed any unknowingly perhaps? Apart from that, also take a look at this thread |
No plugins installed.
Specs are: 1400Mhz AMD Athlon, 256Mb RAM, 32Mb video card, integrated sound card and I'm using Windows XP. |
Most strange!

All settings are the same as those you posted there. I will check them next time the windows disappear. Thanks for helping me, really appreciated.
