visbot archive opens
 

VISBOT has now opened an archive including most of the presets that got lost with DeviantArt's server-crash long ago. the archive consists of my personal downloads, with over 3000 presets released between january 2001 and august 2002, each month is available in one RAR archive, altogether 47 megabytes. enjoy!

Were there none in July of 2002? 2002-07 isn't in the list.

Great idea yathosho! You have an AVS presets archive on your computer ? How many do you have ?

yeah, that's strange. but i dont have it. i was on holiday at that time and never backfilled (and never continued downloading all presets). the purpose of that archive was more to let people download those lost in DeviantArt's crash.

i'm so unorganized (which led to the file-deletion in march) that i got many presets twice. the amount? no clue, burned some older ones. many :)

This is a nice thing to have. Way to go yathoso.

i might scan some of my cds for presets before 2001 and upload them (if i remember correctly the devpack for all presets from 2000 had only 5mb)

that's a lot of presets.

And that is only from DA and befoere the server crash? That's alot.
I don' keep aside a DA collection - all sites at the same place, which sums for a little above 400 packs and i haven't counted them presets :) but according to my calculations they must be above 12000. Bruxo however beats us all :o
