Where would i find the router config page.

jagwac 10th June 2003 05:31

ya...I dont know that router.

Most router configurations are done through a webpage. Do you have your router manual? If so...try to find out in there how to open ports. It should be in a section similar to "forwarding" or "port forwarding".

These are the headings in the index.

*Setting up the SOHO Router using the Web Browser
*Configuing broadband dsl/cable SOHO Routers in Pre-existing Ip Networks.
*Preparation - Connecting to the broadband
*Dsl/Cable SOHO Router
*Traffic Monitoring
*WAN Setup
*Network Setup
*DMZ Host Setup
*Microsoft VPN Setup
*Routing Table
*Access Control
*Internet Spy
*DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Service

whoa.

try...umm...Network Setup or Routing Table.

You need to find a way to forward port 8000 to your machine.

ParraMatt 10th June 2003 05:55

I have lost the cd for the router to be installed and it is no longer installed on my computer or somthing because when i click on the folder for the router in c drive it has nothing inside it?

ParraMatt 10th June 2003 05:57

Is there a possibility that port 8000 is already forwarded becasue about 2 weeks ago i was comemntating sports matches using winamp and it had the same feature "Shoutcast Source" only i didnt have my own server becasue i used rugby legaue radios server as that is who i was commentating for. Now i want to have my own music station.

It should be a webpage that you go to to configure it.

I really am sorry man...its 1am here and I need to sleep.

Check the docs with your router, it may help. Also try a google.com search to find the manufactors, and they should have some type of support.
