A very strange album, Babyteeth. One of my favourites of '92. Is it a parody of heavy metal or just a totally original album??? I could never decide which. I was half expecting the drummer to explode at some point.

Are Therapy? still active zootm??? Haven't heard of them for ages.

zootm 9th August 2003 20:18

yep, they have just released a new album "High Anxiety" - it's very pure, very "rock". and the first track is called "hey satan - you rock!", which gains them endless cred points :)

one of their more recent albums worth checking out is "suicide pact - you first", which was a bit of a departure from their norm (which is strange, considering how diverse their work was before it), but the whole album is beautifully written, and a joy to listen to, for me at least.

check their official site for more: therapyquestionmark.co.uk - it has video and audio samples of most of their stuff...

spot the fanboy.

good bit from babyteeth - the blade runner sample on meat abstract...

"wake up... time to die!"

A good way to open any album. The same sample's also used by Pop Will Eat Itself on (wait for it) Wake Up... Time to Die!

Loser Cop has to be my favourite, 'you little punk'...... 'asshole'! It's a real gem. I will check out those albums, at the moment I'm on Richard Cheese. Wonder where that came from?

zootm 9th August 2003 20:38

hehe - richard cheese rules

Cylob 9th August 2003 20:42

Mercury Rev - Frittering.

A beast of a track - starts with a strum, erupts into a soundscape. Far better than anything Mogwai have done to-date.;)

I learned to spell properly. I'd been typing 'Auge March' and not 'Augie March'. I have 2 x albums.:) So sid, what's your favourite track?

sidd 1st November 2003 14:31

whoo..hmm.. the song that got me into them was "there is no such place".

Fav track now is sunstroke house
but hell.. get "strange bird" album.. the whole thing is good.

btw, its one of those albums youll need to listen to it all the way through, in order, to get the most out ofit.

Cylob 2nd November 2003 08:27

No worries, I have a week off! A whole week of general chilling out.:) I found a live album as well, but it's ALWAYS a mistake to listen to live music before the studio version. Only a fool would do it.

The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster - Celebrate Your Mother
Ladytron - This Is Our Sound

sidd 2nd November 2003 08:42

damn, i was looking for a live album..

ShyShy 3rd November 2003 06:02

Hey, sidd, if you can, get Depeche Mode's 101, great live album!

sidd 3rd November 2003 09:02

lol. ive already got it.. yeah, it is pretty sweet.

Cylob 3rd November 2003 12:44

Augie March are pretty folky. I have their album on the go (along with 10 others). Anyway, Australian folk music's a first for me (tell a lie, I have a Chills album somewhere).

Cylob 5th November 2003 07:02

That's because nobody knows what it is. What is 'Chubb Sub' - a nuclear submarine made from a giant lock???

BRMC - Stop

FructusCantus 5th November 2003 22:06

Well listen to it, you'll like it. And I have no idea what chubb sub means.
