Not Connected
 

I'm sure the answer is posted somewhere else, so just give me a link to it and you won't have to answer..but if it isn't anywhere else, please answer this

I read the instructions to set up my radio station and everything. i changed everything in that file that i was supposed to and followed each step very carefully, but when i hit "connect" it won't connect! why won't it connect?

Do you have a DNAS (SHOUTcast server) installed?

Did you change the DNAS variables srcIP and destIP from ANY?

Is your DNAS and Winamp/DSP combo on the same machine?

What exactly are you entering for "Address" and "Port" in the DSP?

Ok first off, lets see if the dsp even contacted the shoutcast server shall we?

open up the shoutcast server log file, it will be in the shoutcast direcotory on ur system

do u see any errors, like invalid password or anything like that?

if u see no errors in the shoutcast log then the dsp isn't even contacting the server, in this case, it will be an address problem

are the shoutcast server and winamp dsp on the same system?

if so, type "localhost" as the address on the dsp, then try to connect

let me know on any progress, errors u get
