Supposidely, your ip will vary from PC to PC. Anyway, you can find your ip at the following:

Yes.. I think you do. You should be able to call your router company and they'll tell you how to get into admin control of your router and from there, tell you how to forward.

it came with the instructions. i logged on to some ip and type in the user name and pw. next i set the port fowardign shit. the server type http:// and i set the port to 8000 and i set the ip to 192.168.0.100

so i try to connect again and it wont let me

**note** im using the lanned comp. its a wireless connection, and im not using the comp thats directly ported to the router.

bascially my problem is that i cannot connect(for whatever reason) i look in the faq and cant find anything to the nature of my problem.

If I understand correctly, you're putting your IP in DJ tool in WinAmp as "192.168.0.100" which is a private IP. This is your problem, I believe. Try putting "127.0.0.1" in there instead.

If the DNAS and Winamp/DSP combo are on the same machine, then use "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" (without the quotes) as the Address in the DSP.

If the DNAS and Winamp/DSP combo are on different machines but on the same lan, then use the lan ip of the DNAS as the Address in the DSP.

Else, use the real, world-visible ip of the DNAS as the Address in the DSP.

Finally, if you've changed the DNAS variables SrcIP and/or DestIP please set them back to "ANY" (without the quotes) unless you have more than 1 real, world-visible ip address for the DNAS machine or you know exactly wht you are doing.
