Who uses AOL?

Who uses AOL? MSN? Netzero? What do you use?
[edit]Post# 4500.[/edit]

GarbagePoe 31st July 2003 02:51

All I can say is AOL sucks.

(edit) lol, I forgot to say what I use. I'm using Charter High Speed Cable Internet.

sgtfuzzbubble011 31st July 2003 03:00

Got a satellite connection through DirecPC. It sucks half the time, and it's great the other half the time. Clouds, rain, airplanes, and Russian spy satellites all interfere with my connection. :(

psyfive 31st July 2003 03:32

I use Comcast Broadband Cable, formerly AT&T Broadband Internet, formerly AT&T @ Home, Formerly TCI @ Home.... they should probably choose a name and stick with it.

jakeledel 31st July 2003 03:34

aol sucks and always has, i have sbc yahoo dsl, its pretty good

ctn|chrisw 31st July 2003 03:37

I use optimum online, it rocked til they took away my 10mbitdown/1mbit up and made it 2mbit down/70kbps up cause I was uploading 10gb a day :(

anubis2003 31st July 2003 03:41

They did a similar thing to me, chris. I was uploading a good gig or two a day with a shoutcast server and an ftp server, but then they capped my upload to 30kbps, so I can't do much now.

EfaustuS9 31st July 2003 03:43

HighStream only $8.95 a month
AOL & MSN are bloated isp's for the idiots and the indiffrent
23.00 a month for dail up :O, FOOLS.

Fickle 31st July 2003 03:46

Comcast Cable

ctkatz8086 31st July 2003 03:57

i voted for aol, but i should clarify my answer.
aol at home, university t1 at school. (on aol now).
i only use aol to get on the internet, and even then i rarely use the aol browser.

anubis2003 31st July 2003 03:58

Darn, I was hoping we could finish with nobody using AOL. That would be really funny on an AOL-owned site.

ctkatz8086 31st July 2003 04:07

^^^ i wish i could have obliged. :)
but if you really want the screws of what i do, i have aol, but don't really use aol. frankly aol is just a way that we use to get online at home. so does that count as being an aol user or other?

anubis2003 31st July 2003 04:13

I would say other, but it depends on what you use more(which I would guess is the T1, unless if you live at home while going to college).

My parents use MSN since we did use dialup for a while, but they won't switch over to IE for some reason. I don't even have msn on my computer, although I still have am msn email account.

I'm on Charter. Their speeds are terrible, even though they keep telling me they're not. They tend to drop our connection quite often, too.

Mine works exellent. FAST speed. My connection never drops out.

DragonSon 31st July 2003 04:31

I use Comcast High Speed Cable...VERY fast and VERY reliable...I'm extremely satisfied with the service and can't EVER see myself going back to dial up.......uuuuuuuugghhhhhhhhhh:igor:

xenosomething 31st July 2003 04:37

i have aol broadband....yes its bloated and i have to use the stupid client to get on, but it definately doesn't suck.

GqSkrub 31st July 2003 05:44

I'm on aol right now. It's great cuz it's FREE! If you call in and cancel they give you free months, which is PERFECT when you only need to be online for a few months in between college. But who would PAY for aol? :shivers: Aol is only for the l337 Hax0rz

WomanOfHeart 31st July 2003 05:52

Both AOHell and MSN tried to rip me off when I called to cancel service. Little bastards...
I now have broadband through Comcast, and I couldn't be happier!

my brother in law did the free 45 day trial and 14 days into the trial he wasn't impressed so he called and cancelled. they still took the first months fee from his bank account... his bank was able to get the money back after he bitched at them about it.

I have since shown him the joys of cable internet. He now uses comcast.

ShyShy 31st July 2003 06:08

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! am i the only one that got raped by Comcast???? those bastards were just flat out shitty towards me. and i only use aol because it was free, but i'll be getting DSL soon.

Mr_007 31st July 2003 06:46

No isnt in my country aol!

mark 31st July 2003 11:20

i am stuck with aol until christmas. At least its DSL though. i'd rather use aol broadband than share a cable pipe with my neigbours

GqSkrub 31st July 2003 12:17

Thats what I use. :D Our bill was late so they disabled our @chater.net email acctounts that we don't use anyways :D

The connection is pretty good here (around 80-150kb\s download) but my upspeed is terrible.

Magic_Midget 31st July 2003 12:33

I was on Knology Broadband service until it got cut out due to financial reasons.:( Now i'm stuck with AOHell and it sucks balls.

hgnis 31st July 2003 13:05

Cable.

GoldenSphynx 31st July 2003 13:52

I use MSN. Probably the best connecting speeds a dialup modem can ever connect at(usually 52.0 kbps).

J. Burnaway 31st July 2003 17:09

Cable. Which I might not need, because while I was painting the room that the cable modem was in (so the modem wasn't connected), my other computer was still able to connect to the internet. I have a wireless router, and perhaps I was leaching off someone else's signal.

Obedo 31st July 2003 17:39

To hell with Aol!!!
