sc_trans trouble with reencoding PLEASE HELP!

Hi :)

I've got one, simple (?) question :)

When using sc_trans for linux (that downloaded from www.shoutcast.com), why do i've to have mp3s in 44khz?I want to broadcast in 32kbs/22khz and i've got resampled mp3s on my shell..Is there any possibility to use them? :)

Thanks for help :)

Archon^^ :)

as far as I know, you need to source with 44.1 it's an alpha so it has bugs.

and how do i relay from another server and do the lowering of bitrate?

last I heard it didn't support transcoding yet.

grrr so it doesn't do nothing :P Do you know some program that can act like auto-broadcaster and/or reencoder to lower the bitrate and send it to another server?

I was testing liveice but I don't really now how to make php code to run in in the screen (i tried to run it with parametrs but it didn't work). Is there any better program that can autoreconnect? :)

And what about the program that can reencode to lower bitrate? :)

Do you know some? :)

Thanks for help :)

well not sure about a better tool I find sc_trans perfect, but of course, as you might guess I use it on 44.1 khz files. Alternatives out there include holyshout, dj in a box (djiab.org) and libshout.

Not sure about ease, haven't tried them, as for a transcoder check out http://transcoder.sourceforge.net/
