Winamp2 with Extigy
 

Why do i always get a error msg when i try to play mp3s, it states error detecting driver for the primary soundcard source and i have to switch between Primary Sound Driver and my Sound Blaster Extigy in the DirectSound output plugin everytime after rebooting the system. Is there any way to make it (the Extigy) the default sound output source rather than the Primary Sound Driver?

Has the configuration file become read only? That could mean that any changes aren't saved after closing Winamp

You mean the out_ds.dll? It's not set to read only.

No . . . winamp.ini (in the main Winamp dir)

Either that, or Winamp isn't closing properly when you exit, and therefore the settings aren't getting written to winamp.ini

Or maybe you're rebooting without closing Winamp first, in which case the settings still won't get written to winamp.ini
