Meh, it is just Winamp 2.
WHERE THE HELL IS WINAMP 3 DAMNIT! I loved it, it just need some good TLC (crap, did I just use that word?), and some better coding and killing of the video playback IT SUCKS! If that happend, I would love it. but it is not...

I just hope WA5 isn't as much as a disaster as WA3 was...

There was a link somewhere to download a beta (or even alfa) of wa5, but can't find it :(

apparently the wa3 skin loading is still very buggy...

@ n00n3: that link might have been to 2.92 or 2.95. Some sites claim to have "Winamp 8" or "Winamp 5", but it is just BS.

Wa5 is supposed to be all the good thigns about WA2 with the freeform skinning of WA3. 2+3=5 If you woudl jsut read the links provided aboev then you would not be as ignorant as you are now. :hang: i was i was teh author of this, then i coudl request lockage. :hang:

As you an see, "Ready" comes right before the relase, and right after when it is not ready. I even labled it "future" to give you a better idea of a date.

(what I am getting at is that nobody knows for sure, but it will be awhile, so quit bitching and just wait. Do you want to pressure them into releasing it early and we can have another (what some people called) WA3 Fiasco again?

You obviously don't program for a living.

Whenever a company pushes a product out the door too soon it is full of dropped features and bugs.

Not putting out a release date makes it easier on developpers because it will be released when it's ready, not when it should've been ready.

How do you know I don't program for a living? Just because I was saying that "When it's ready" is a turn-off for this would be downloader? I'm not against them taking all the time they need, but there are many ways to say "it's not ready yet." "When it's ready" is just plain rude.

Rude? It's the truth. There is no fixed release date because we don't want to release something that's full of bugs, etc. There's not even an approximate release date. We don't want a repeat of the Winamp3 fiasco, so it will be released when Nullsoft thinks it's bug-free enough. I don't see how that's rude... We're not witholding anything from you, that's all we know.
