diddan 6th September 2003 15:07

hmmm..i have looked there, no help.

djmastermind 6th September 2003 15:08

So, you're not running on a router?

Are you running on WindowsXP?

diddan 6th September 2003 15:08

Btw..i have dymanic internet,p

djmastermind 6th September 2003 15:09

I'll tell you what to do with a dynamic IP once we get you up and running :)

DJHotIce 6th September 2003 15:09

do you have any firewalls our routeres?

does your ISP block ports? Are you behind a proxy
(sorry for the somewhat double post)

diddan 6th September 2003 15:09

I have XP PRO...

diddan 6th September 2003 15:11

i have no firewall,router.

DJHotIce 6th September 2003 15:11

ok search the forums on how to disable the built in firewall... That should do the trick

djmastermind 6th September 2003 15:12

Yes.. as HotIce said, XP has a built-in firewall. A little bit of searching should do the trick.

diddan 6th September 2003 15:17

xxx.xxx.x.xxx is Closed

Reason Given: Connection refused
More about this error: This essentially means that the port is open to the internet but has no services associated with it. There is no firewall protection on this port.

http://www.radiotoolbox.com here you can see if you have firewall

DJHotIce 6th September 2003 15:19

a server isn't running on the port that you scanned! Boot the server up and THEN attempt to run that test again.

djmastermind 6th September 2003 15:19

Was your server and source going as you checked radiotoolbox?

diddan 6th September 2003 15:26

yes.Question: is 212.31.160.205 your IP.if not then you are behind a proxy.that is not my ip.

djmastermind 6th September 2003 15:27

Check your IP at www.whatismyip.com

Didn't you mention abouve having a Dynamic IP?

diddan 6th September 2003 15:31

diddan 6th September 2003 15:45

in windows it show 192.168.0.105,whatismyip.com shows 212.31.160.205

djmastermind 6th September 2003 15:47

What is my IP is correct.. the 192.168.0.105 is your Local/LAN IP. In other words, only you would be able to see it (or in this case, hear it).

FesterHead 6th September 2003 18:32

Are you using Windows Internet Connection Sharing?

Does your ISP block ports?

diddan 6th September 2003 19:25

no,what is isp??

djmastermind 6th September 2003 19:27

Internet Service Provider

FesterHead 6th September 2003 19:45

Are you sure you don't have a router?

Both having a lan ip and the above are indicators that ports are not correctly going to the DNAS machine.

If you're ISP assigned you 192.168.0.105 then they need to forward the necessary ports to your lan ip.

diddan 6th September 2003 19:46

ok thanx, but i think that is not the problem.i think that the problem is that i have dymanic ip.

FesterHead 6th September 2003 19:48

Nope. That problem will come later.

diddan 6th September 2003 19:50

If you're ISP assigned you 192.168.0.105 then they need to forward the necessary ports to your lan ip. how do i do that???

FesterHead 6th September 2003 19:52

Are you your ISP?

If not,

Contact your ISP.

What make/model router do you have?

diddan 6th September 2003 20:02

a D-link 604.

FesterHead 6th September 2003 20:16

Check out your router documentation and/or router manufacturer website for port forwarding (aka virtaul server) instructions.

FesterHead 6th September 2003 20:29

Please post exactly what you did in steps three through eight from http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.as...ort+forwarding

Also, "trrfr" isn't a valid genre. You may want to fix that.

FesterHead 6th September 2003 20:43

Does this one help?

If not, please list the fields your router has available.

diddan 6th September 2003 20:58

doesent work, same problem ,,when i broadcast, must the server be public??? in yellow pages you can choose if the server is public or not, i choose it in winamp DSP Pluging

FesterHead 6th September 2003 21:06

If the server isn't public, it won't be listed on http://www.shoutcast.com

Try contacting D-Ling technical support and have them assist you with the port forwarding.

You need to have portBase (default is 8000) forwarded to the DNAS machine.

If you expect folks outside your network to source the DNAS, then portBase+1 needs to also be forwarded.

diddan 6th September 2003 21:16

thanks for the help, but what is portbase+1??.if i dont have the sever public, the error dont come up:but on my ohter computer i can listen to the radio.i think it goes throw the router. http://192.168.0.105:8000<--------- test the radio
