when using SBLiveValue... and questions

When using SBLiveValue...

which is best output format in bits per fample in "Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder 1.32 configuration" under the Decoding tab? and should i dither? I just want to know why a 24 bit option is present when it recommends not to use it...

also, under Nullsoft Waveform Decoder v2.06 configuration, should i select "Convert 8 to 16-bit? and Convert 24/32 to 16-bit?.. should i downmix to mono? what should my floating point be at?

dont hurt me =p i dont know anything about what these things do...

Under Nullsoft Module Decoder Prefences, .. what should my options be?I just want to see if my settings now are messing up the sound and if i can improve it...

ps: what is difference between logarithmic and linear when using the equalizer? and.. what is Fast Layer 3 EQ and Fast Layer 1/2 EQ under MPEG audio decoder settings??

Is there anywhere that I can find these answers? I cant find it.. =(

THANKS!!

Unless you have problems leave the settings along. If the music plays fine with no skis there is no reason to change anything.

Logarithmic used a logarithmic (curve) scale instead of the straight (linear) scale. Basically more control in the lower ends then the upper ranges.

Fast Layer 3 EQ takes advantage of how MP3s are encoded to apply equalizer settings faster. Basically by adjusting the individual volume levels of the bands from the MP3 when decoding instead of using the PCM Equalizer (which everything else uses) after the file is decoded. (Something like that)
