Winamp always wants CD in drive
Hello,
I'm using Winamp 2.91, and have a little problem: when winamp is running, it always wants a cd in my cd-drive for no apparent reason. If I remove a cd from the drive and winamp is playing (btw I'm only playing mp3s from my harddisk) Winamp comes up with an error message saying that there's no disk in drive e:, then I can choose retry abort or ignore. No matter what I choose then, 30 seconds later the box pops up again. I tried to find something in the configuration that points to the CD-drive (reg, ini-files), but couldn't find anything. Does someone have an idea what I can do expect keeping a CD in the drive? |
what kind of songa are you playing? is it a song from your cd?
|
no, thats why I wrote in my initial post that "I'm only playing mp3s from my harddisk".

I just found the reference to the cd-drive in an outdated configuration for a pretty old plugin that I'm not using but which is still installed.
so the problem is solved and it wasn't even winamps fault... :$ thx anyway |
