Playing External audio

How can I play audio over my shoutcast station that is coming from a program other than winamp?

DJHotIce 26th September 2003 00:58

use soundcard mode on the winamp DSP.
Notice title updates may not work when your DSP is in this mode, they will need to be manually updated

I do, and nobody seems to hear anything, except my microphone. When I have the mic off, and use Line Input, I don't get anything then, either. What should I do?

Are you sure that you don't have something other than "what u hear" or "Wav out Mix" (whatever plays what's on the soundcard) picked?

This is what I get while listening to a song in Windows Media Player.

Here's my mixer.

BTW, the second attachment IS different, just the same filename.

Show the other mixer that comes up.. the recording mixer. The one that says "select" instead of 'mute'.

Here it is:

Whenever I put a check in the Line In box, the bars on the input tab of the DSP plugin just stick at 30, like it's frozen or something, but when i put the check back in microphone, the bars go down.

Ah, I think I found the solution. I went into the Properties, and added "Wave Out Mixer" to the list of available options. I selected it, and I think that's what got it to work.

djmastermind 28th September 2003 02:08

Yes.. that's what you need to do. If you have the 'microphone' in selected, then it's going to search for a source in the microphone input of your PC. 'Wave Out Mix' will do it.

I told my friend to do that same thing, and it doesn't work for him. I've checked, and he has the same exact settings as me. Why wouldn't it be working?

djmastermind 28th September 2003 20:21

It doesn't work for him, but does it work for you?
