Is There a .NET version of Winamp?

Is there a .NET version of winamp out, in the making, or in future plans? If so, then what language(s) would it be in (c#, vb.net, etc.). And if it does exists, what version of .net is it in (2002 or 2003)?

No there isnt; what possible advantage would .NET confer to an application such as Winamp?

not to mention it'd break portability to other platforms. There has always been that rumor flying around that they wanted it to run properly on linux.

Would we really want to further Microsoft's monopoly?

And why would they want to ruin Winamp by using VisualBasic.NET?

i don't think that something designed to be small and lightweight would benefit all that much from something like .net.
