He's not technically bad, but... I can't stand that way of singing. That kind of Alternative Arena Rock pathos. (If I wanted to be really nasty I'd call it Creed for intellectuals.)

One thought just struck me: Could it be he's trying to sound like Damo Suzuki?

Not all pumpkins songs are like that, Billy's voice can be annoying and nasal especially in the heavier songs but he can tone it back and does so often on some of their more chill songs.

Listen to New Order's "Turn My Way" Billy contributes vocals on that track and it sounds pretty good, IMO.

There's the occasional "passable" track, but I won't risk playing a whole album. :D

There are certain vocalists I just can't stomach, Corgan's one of 'em. The music's decent (which is a shame), I just wonder why they picked the only band member who can't sing to take the stage. It'd be like sticking Debbie Harry on drums??
