Little introduction
 

Hi there, Winamp folks!

This is just a little introduction, since I believe such is normal procedure with forums.
I am using WA3, and my preferences are:
Skin: Remote Sensing, the best work IMHO.
Vis: TitleToy
Util: Deskband
Sys: WinXP, 2Ghz Laptop Widescreen

Had a few problems with deskband, until deactivating the vis during inactive cleared them. It still stucks here and then, but it's very acceptable. TitleToy works great with XP and is just the right thing for me during normal work. Only matter: it doesn't do its job when Preferenceswindow is not open. And further either I want to have Winamp fullscreen @ 125% or nothing onscreen, hence Deskband suits me perfect: First I have original XP looks and functionability, no screen clutter, Preferencewindow is always open and so is TitleToy, and with the 'active media player' button in Deskband I can switch my "Winamp fullscreen console" on and off. CPU is always below 20%, sufficient for my doings.

I am planning to make a pleasing fullscreen skin with all available controls, not sure of looks and design as of yet. Currently working up the Maki-SDK and browsing Forums, and hoping to submit my work soon.

Hi there. I did made a few attempts, but nothing worth uploading. In the meantime I have taken up other ventures like 3D graphics. And to bind it up, I had to return to Winamp2 because of compatibility reasons with SysMetrix (btw by Xymantix, really worth a try!!!! http://www.xymantix.com) It's skinnable too ;-)

So I keep with Winamp for its engine, but not anymore for its skinning (and 2 is much less of a motivation and 'adventure'...). I have added my SysMetrix skin with Winamp2 controls, 1280px wide and only 6px high, which is also its name (rename it to 6px.smx before dl for automatic install)
