I must get that. I once had a Yes album (90125), it was weird to say the least. The LP must be up in the attic now.

NJK 4th October 2003 10:18

not bad knowing that you were only 3 years old at that time (1973) cylob- by the way did the time change in the uk?? end of the summertime?

Cylob 4th October 2003 10:22

The clocks go forward an hour in about 3 weeks time (usually the last Sunday of October).

NJK 4th October 2003 10:24

then they changed the time in these forums because overhere it 12.35 and if i see at the time i post something it's 2.35

Cylob 4th October 2003 10:30

Interesting. The clocks actually go back an hour soon (not forwards)! I don't know why they don't leave it at GMT.

The time now is 11:40.

So, what's the best Pink Floyd album.....?

corkhead0 17th January 2004 02:01

Easy, Dark Side Of The Moon.

Cylob 20th January 2004 10:15

What about Wish You Were Here? It's supposed to be a classic...

Russ 20th January 2004 10:54

I rather like The Final Cut, but that's getting more into "written and directed by Roger Waters, performed by Pink Floyd" territory :).

I think I'd probably agree that Dark Side of the Moon was the best (and the last) "real" PF album.

'Animals' has always been my personal fave.
Awesome lyrics.

But I guess most people would go for one of DSotM, WYWH, or The Wall.

*engages nitpick mode*

Animals was an EP, not an album ;).

I did notice the winking smilie, so correct me if I'm wrong. :)

I own a copy of the 1977 release "vinyl album". Is there an Animals version out that I do not know about?

A CD maybe, not like the original release?

orac 23rd January 2004 09:56

wish you were here is the best...

also people would not be happy calling Floyd "prog rock".. isn't that Yes, ELP, king crimson etc.

YtseJam 23rd January 2004 10:24

Weird you people did not mention yet Dream Theater ;) or Symphony X (albiet these two are more Metal, but still) Spock's Beard, Queensryche, Kansas, etc...
