P$ycHo™ 15th June 2009 12:45

i can't play at all with keyboard and mouse on different highths.

kingo'mountain 15th June 2009 15:16

well, i can still go with my right hand on mouse and left hand on "W A S D", the arms on my chair make great support for this position, problem is i still get carpal on both hands but that's because i cant put my mouse on the keyboard drawer, not enough playroom for gaming or even windows stuff, so i'm forced to have it like this :(

Buy a games console maybes?? Or a game pad for your computer... a wireless one even!! I remember my older brother had a wireless one (Mr 75 mhz if you knew him from the old days) then he could be lazy and sit on his bed and play games with the huge monitor he had >.> not to mention keep me up with the stupid racket grrrr brothers XD

the room shot i made isn't clear enough to see, but that black thing next to my TV is my playstation2 :)

finding games for it now will only mean i'll HAVE to download them, ps3 games market is getting hella strong, and they cost a fortune, one more reason not to invest in a ps3 right now, i dont have the money

kingo'mountain 31st December 2015 15:06

well, i have a PS3 now for about a year and a half, mostly kingdom hearts and fifa, thinking about buying a PS4 for KH3, a little update about my room, the big desk is gone, the dresser below the TV and the TV are gone, bed is gone, got a king size single bed with a head motor, a small ikea cabinet instead of the dresser with a flatscreen 32" i think, the wall behind the desk is painted blue, i wanted to make it ocean themed, the funny thing is i'm afraid of fish, actual phobia... anyway... have an HP laptop, LG G3, and that's about it, i wish i were able to be my future self and slap the shit out of my 2009 self for drinking and getting fat, which i have lost most of, now in small waves.... trying to stay away for my manboobies persona, it was my lowest of times, and i mean it

Mate, if we nuked folks for having whiny phases due to their having grown up here since ~2000, we wouldn't have many left. I'd have been shown the door myself.

I find it humorous that grown adults, owning or renting entire dwellings, refer to their bedrooms as "my room". They're all your rooms! :blah:

Feel free to post a shot of your current room setup, if you feel so inclined. Shaz posted pics, to Facebook IIRC, of the new combined desktop setup for her PC and Shy Jr's PC. I'll see if I can track it down.

edit: Here we go.

I like "your room". It is multipurpose. People with many rooms need to understand that they can only be in one place at a time, unless there is some form of chainsaw intervention. So, why not make that one place suit the most needs that it can serve? Workstation/office? Check. Media entertainment? Check. Toybox? check. Gallery? Check. I'm sure it could do more too.

My place isn't what I want right now. My wife and I are making (so far rejected) offers on a house, trying to get the seller to come down in price. Hopefully we'll agree on a price and get it. If so, I'm sure I'll post about it. I'm hoping to have a nice "room" to show. A lot of change-for-the-better will happen if/when I can move. We'll be far closer to work, paying less money for a better place, and finally located in a place worth planting roots so-to-speak. A lot of projects that I have wanted to do for decades can begin when I have a place like that.

Exciting times

+1 for the 'my room' thingey
