Hell yeah...

It was kind of a last-minute thing, but I got some tickets to a concert last night. There were three bands. The first was Three Days Grace. Relatively new band, but they're awesome. Very impressive. After them was Trapt. They fuckin' rock. And in all honesty, I wanted to see them more than the last band that played... but I was seriously blown away by Nickelback. I never thought they could kick that much ass. Mosh pit, body surfing, pyrotechnics, the works. My ears are still ringing.

:D:D:D:D

I hate to be a prick (no I don't) but, uh....

...And I've never seen Nickleback live, but I hate thier music from the studio.

Unless you're trying to help out a newb, that is a poor post. Did you not notice that sarge is a moderator, and thus knows more about the forums than you.

Raz 22nd October 2003 17:56

/moons fickle. :D

You were correct, you're just being a bit anal about it. Quite simply, it just doesn't matter. :)

Fickle 22nd October 2003 18:04

Sorry I fucked up your thread, Sarge.

Sounds really cool! I'm not a huge fan, but an awsome atmosphere means so much.

sgtfuzzbubble011 22nd October 2003 18:12

I know about the Music forum, but this forum is a bit more... um, exposed I guess you could say. And there's more that I want to talk about than just the music anyways. The pyrotechnics were awesome. They had flamethrowers mounted in the stage that would pulsate 20-foot tall fireballs along with the beat of the music. You could feel the radiant heat all the way up in the stands. :D And the lighting rigs were totally awesome.

sgtfuzzbubble011 22nd October 2003 18:14

And besides... It's only once in a blue moon when I start a thread. So get the fuck over it. :D

O.O Didja'?

sgtfuzzbubble011 22nd October 2003 18:25

Btw, Chad Kroeger is actually quite a funny guy. :)

"Yeah, we 'got a quad that comes off the truck every day. And what's the first thing I do? Take it straight to your beach right over there. I'm not from here, so I didn't know you weren't supposed to ride quads on the beach. Those two cops were trying to get my attention real bad, but they didn't catch me though. That's a fast quad."

lol :D:D

Fickle 22nd October 2003 18:31

I was always more into jam bands that didn't need pyrotechnics and so forth. I go to concerts to hear music, not see fire.
Plus, I'm paranoid and would probably worry about whether or not the place was catching on fire the whole time.

d0rk 22nd October 2003 19:15

Nickelback came and played last summer and people started throwing beer towards the stage because they liked the music and chad stops in the middle of a song and says
"Will the fucking morons who feel the need to throw beer on these hot girls up here PLEASE QUIT!"
and continues right where he left off :blah:

k_rock923 22nd October 2003 20:05

chad looks kinda like jesus. they're a pretty good band

Krynis 22nd October 2003 20:22

lol k rock ur right man! and im not a huge fan of NB but i respect them as a band and there not bad and atleast it aint pop ;) me i wanna see Adema live :D

Oh believe me, they kicked major ass. I was just mentioning the other shtuff. I was actually kinda surprized. They rocked a lot harder than I thought they would. I've got two of their cds (The State, and Silver Side Up), so I wasn't expecting them to be as hardcore as they were. I was quite impressed by the performance. :) The whole coliseum was beating from the bass alone. They also had one of the New Orleans Saints (yes, I said one of the Saints) come in and play guitar when they performed Leader Of Men. I thought they were joking when Chad introduced him onto the stage, but he actually played really well. :) Can't remember which Saint it was, though.

White Raven 22nd October 2003 23:33

I don't like Nickelback... Personally... I can't tell the difference between them, 3 Doors Down, and Creed.
Unless Nickelback is hard music now, and I'm confused with just 3 Doors Down and Creed...

I do like Three Days Grace, they're pretty good. ^_^

I remember hearing about that - weren't they talking about that on Monday Night Football a few weeks ago?

//hmm - it's almost time for turducken........

Anyway, yeah. It was a pretty funny picsher.

Glad you had fun. Last concert I went to was Willie Nelson. Whole different atmosphere, to say the least. :D

3 Doors Down is pretty cool. They're from down here, too. :) Chad made a joke about them last night at the concert... "Yeah, last time I was down here, I woke up drunk in Escatawpa with the 3 Doors boys." :D Creed is cool, even if they are a Christian band. :)

Mmmmmm... Turducken. *drool*

liquidmotion 23rd October 2003 00:32

Creed is the Microsoft of Pearl Jam knockoff bands.

BullGawD 23rd October 2003 00:48

Creed got sued for sounding like ass onstage. :)

God Bless Judicial Efficiency.

sgtfuzzbubble011 23rd October 2003 01:53

Ok, well... I like some of their music. :p

Creed is not a Christian band. They said GD in "What's This Life For?". Also, the FAQ on their web site denies that they are a Christian band.

BullGawD 23rd October 2003 02:02

Moses said GD in Planet of the Apes.

Well, I don't keep up with bands all that much. I thought I remember hearing that they were a christian band on some mini documentary that I watched a while back. Maybe I misunderstood it.

sidd 23rd October 2003 02:09

he didnt post in musicorama because he mentioned the word "nickleback" and would have got pwnd.

By the way, there is nothing wrong with christian bands.. they just all happen to suck.. coinsidence i guess.

sgtfuzzbubble011 23rd October 2003 02:16

Actually, I just wanted to share a good experience that I had with everyone else. I didn't necessarily start this thread for the purpose of discussing music, but more to talk about the fact that I went to a concert that kicked ass. I don't go to things like that very often, so this is a treat for me. If it's such a big fucking deal, I won't bother in the future.

sidd 23rd October 2003 02:20

Well, im glad you had fun..

I saw white stripes last week, no pyrotechniques.. but a really fricken insane show. I didnt really like them before i saw it, now thems are gods.

btw.. you're pretty humble for a mod. I was half expecting to get flamed to fuck. :D

No, you didn't do anything deserving of that. Flaming someone for their point of view isn't right. And besides, I can't break the rules that I'm supposed to be enforcing.

You are right sgtfuzzbubble Nickelback do f*cking rock.
I just became a fan. And I'm looking forward to seeing them live.

What got me liking them was two of the radio hits "How You Remind Me" and "Someday". I said to myself--You should sample somemore. So attatched is My "Best of Nickelback Vol. One" CD.

Sgt. Did you hear the song they did with Santana "Why don't You and I" ? I like that one. I also like "somebody help me breath" and "Just for you"

I like them because they are hard and soft. And they sound real.

I see good things ahead for these guys. Yes I do.

Korn is awesome :)

I can tell the difference between Nickleback, Creed, and Three Doors Down.

What I can't tell is the difference between Ozzy and Black Label Society.... :weird:

rtcpenguin 29th January 2004 16:29

All three suck. Way to waste your money.

Doktor 29th January 2004 20:29

Nope...Jonathon's mic stand is totally custom and looks like a woman (See attachment)... :)

Besides...As much as I like KoRn and Nickleback, I can't see the two together for the same show... ;) :p
