QuadHeliX 13th November 2003 23:19

sure, and Enfurno you can take it from there, just tell him what the name of the psd is.

Enfurno 14th November 2003 03:26

ok, just pm me with the a link and the name. =)

Dysmentia 14th November 2003 16:18

Its a beauty sign me up for something!!

QuadHeliX 14th November 2003 17:14

Well i dont know if there is anything left graphics-wise to do. We are waiting for some stuff to come in with other grfx people. Stick around maybe something.

Xcalibur-AI 14th November 2003 19:56

First I want to apologize for not doing anything (yet). I will strt tonight. School is tearing my time apart (evevn my skin, RidaX is a bit on hold now). But I will help with the matrix shade and stick mode first. Will report what I have as soon as I have some piece of it done.

...btw, took me like 20 mins to read this entire thread :(. Now lets get to work :D Btw, great job on the coding, Slob/Rontz and everyone else. This skin will surely kick some ass.

QuadHeliX 14th November 2003 23:59

OK Xcaliber we got some guys now working on the shade mode. I can use you to do some glass effects on main. screen(reflection) and clean it up alittle if you want too. Add some of your flares to it. Have you seen the working skin? We pretty much have to leave the lights alone. but placing buttons around the skin and so forth that we forgot would be cool.
http://www.dieselx4x.com/winamp/images/mtrx1.wal
here is the image you can work on in the .wal
unzip it , then find..
elements\normal\metal\background.png

Xcalibur-AI 15th November 2003 17:15

oh yea, I ve seen the skin. Looking sweet. I already started yesternight with some modifications, but now I see I have to delete some of them due to I changed the levels thus touching the lights :D. I will extract the wal and see what I can change so it wont affect the avs. I also noticed that adding a black drop shadow then an outer glow is better than a glow alone. I will post what I have as soon as I finish it

Xcalibur-AI 15th November 2003 21:59

ok, here is what I came up with. I changed the cbuttons. Screen reflection and th reflection. Damn its difficult to change a png so it wont affect other things. Then exporting to wal everytime...timeconsuming :).

Anyways, I got this:
http://student-kmt.hku.nl/~angelo/pe...fore_after.jpg
wal: http://student-kmt.hku.nl/~angelo/pe...rx_x_final.wal

QuadHeliX 16th November 2003 00:06

Thank you it does look great. I like how everything works in the .wal. You did a great job on the corona around the skin. What do you guys think?

SLoB 17th November 2003 13:49

y gives it more of an impact :)

i'll use this as the base for the new code additions, now ive got my rather nice new belinea 19" tft :), now text is no longer blurry lol, now the only headaches will b coding ones lol ;)

hope to get the sliding lcd parts done in the next day or so :)
I'll also be splitting that songinfo into seperate bits on the main lcd
its only the inner parts of the lcd which will slide in/out as the main parts should be visible at all times, ie buttons etc.

QuadHeliX 17th November 2003 15:13

great SloB, thanks alot.
How is the shade mode doing enfurno/witmer?

I have been working on 7 Matrix AVS's of my own. I am going to package the AVS's we got with these and publish them soon.
http://forums.winamp.com/attachment....postid=1167137

Xcalibur-AI 17th November 2003 16:53

nice to see some progress. Good going guys

SLoB 17th November 2003 18:29

what are we doing with the font?
we should convert the normal font to be bitmapped so we can change the colour
make the biggest font an just scale down the img for the smaller fonts.
I also want to take a hole out the middle of the background so we can put the background over the lcd, this will serve 2 purposes
allow the songtickers to go to full extent and look as part of the lcd
and for the sliding lcd parts to be hidden
i was planning on adding all of the lcd parts to a sliding group which can be positioned and hidden when needed.
ive also added the seek & volume, seek is at the top, volume is hidden for the mo but does update the songticker with volume %, not bothered with the seek % yet, probably will do before the next update so it has good features :)

SLoB 17th November 2003 18:33

RoNtZ - can you upload the smooth background change without the buttons please, i can then incorporate this into the ndta background, ta :)

witmer777 17th November 2003 21:35

I dont know what enfurno is doing. I passed it completely to him...unless he wants me to help...it's up to him.

QuadHeliX 17th November 2003 23:08

Do what you feel is best with the fonts, the font that you had before though didnt look good as a bitmap. We need to find a cool bitmap font. try punching that hole too. I will leave that to you. I am not so sure i like my eyepiece, we will see what it looks like when you are done... SloB

SLoB 18th November 2003 12:45

i'll convert the font we have to a bitmap without any effects, the other had some effects on it, at least that way we have gamma control other than using general gamma group ;)

will be working on it tonite at some point, hopefully post an update ;)

carlosp 18th November 2003 13:31

The Manual!

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys. The skin is damn good and if you remember i told once i want to make the Manual. Here is the first layout of it. Tell me what you think about it and tell me if you wanna have it how it is now. If yes i will start coding it.

ps. Dun read the Text :D it is holly shit

-=RoNtZ=- 18th November 2003 14:24

ok slob, here you go (if i didn't get you wrong ;)):
http://www.dieselx4x.com/winamp/images/main.png
http://www.dieselx4x.com/winamp/images/main-na.png

carlos: isn'T that a slightly modified version of your styleamp Manual? ;)
i like it, though the opaque background won't be visible very good on brighter backgrounds.

QuadHeliX 18th November 2003 14:51

That Manual is really cool, will work great. RontZ I really like the glass effect you put on the main. We can put that over what Xcaliber did, it think it will look great.
Shade mode grfx has to be done in the next few days so we can get this going. :)

carlosp 18th November 2003 17:07

In fact it is. I think it isn´t a problem since i made both of them :D so can nobody say i ripped them. I think it isn´t matter as long as it looks good. I will make it then.

SLoB 18th November 2003 17:11

can u post up the glass effect png on its own
I only need the background without the glow so ill use that ;) ta

we're going for Xcalibur's glow arent we?, i dont see any reason why we couldnt have both, could be put in a cfg window

i'm gonna cut a hole in the main background for the lcd so we can sort out the sliding lcd parts
all im gonna slide in is the inner part of the lcd between normal mode, eq & cfg sections

y nice work on the manual so far, we'll need a spellchecker & grammar checker on it tho ;)

carlosp 18th November 2003 20:03

As i told ya. I won´t write the text. I will send the manual as soon as it is fininshed and comment my code so you know how to add menus and etc. You will be able to add as much menus as you want similar to flash. We will see!

QuadHeliX 18th November 2003 23:09

YA SloB go with Xcalibers skin remake and we can have the 2 shadow modes if you can do that, also that glass effect over x's stuff. Do you guys want to keep that Iris thing or go with just nuttin there and we will put the
text and stuff?

Also Carlos we will give it to you after we get it done tks!! We will post the text in the Manual.

SLoB 18th November 2003 23:42

quick wip shot
dunno wots goin on with some of the backgrounds but they are all out of alignment with the pics above and the lights etc.
ive sorted them all now, took the hole out of the background overlay, you should be able to notice the better effect there with the fonts, lcd etc..

ive repositioned the buttons to as they were on the original, will need to add a little bit more to the background layer bottom of pause button for ndta mode to stop the button from being cutoff

http://slob.org.uk/wa5/mtrx_wip1.jpg

now got to sort out the main lcd group to combine 3 sliding window sections

RoNtZ - still awaiting the glass png to add

as for the iris i dunno we can leave it in until we get it almost done, even if its not used i think it adds to it

we can toggle the shadows in the sliding cfg section along with maybe the added glass efx and wotever else we want to add in over time.

if you all add any code to the existing can you all please label it and put it in the appropriate group, just helps us all knowing what stuff is and where it goes :)

-=RoNtZ=- 19th November 2003 18:29

sorry, don't have much time at the moment, here you go:
http://www.dieselx4x.com/winamp/images/glass.png
coords: x="120" y="72"

SLoB 19th November 2003 18:47

ta ;)

Enfurno 21st November 2003 03:48

whitmer. i pmed you back, i was asking you what was needing updated from your version. im leaving out of town for thanksgiving tomorrow, if you guys need this dont before then you will have too leave me out, if you can wait, then i will get on it soon as i get back.

QuadHeliX 21st November 2003 20:47

I will finish the shade from witmer777.
I will also code the shade in next phaze after SloB. want to get this thing rollin. Then we can see who wants to do the standard frame ...

SLoB 22nd November 2003 11:12

hectic here, hopefully have an update tomoro nite :)

SLoB 23rd November 2003 16:32

right, quick update :)
sliding lcd is done, the cfg window has an alternate shadow button innit, we can put other cfg items in here as and when
EQ is done
things left to do on main mode
RE, SH, CF buttons atm the top 2 lcd buttons control the sliding lcd

RoNtZ - i took the shadow png but had to alter it as it went of the edge ;), main window i got round that so no need to send

hope ya all like the additions :)

QuadHeliX 23rd November 2003 17:12

nicely done great job!!! I will work on it this week and hopefully have an update soon.
Then we can all vote on what we want in and taken out. So this week i will work on shade mode and make the interface easier to see, tweak it.

-=RoNtZ=- 23rd November 2003 19:57

erm.. soften the glare of the buttons a bit down... it doesn't fit to the display... i don't know what the inner part of the display is, but it's looking strange ;)

SLoB 23rd November 2003 21:18

erm the buttons were done by Xcalibur, and done directly on the control button png, maybe he can alter the buttons he put on?

Quote:

i don't know what the inner part of the display is, but it's looking strange
?

dunno but the font is still to be sorted & the min,shade&close buttons could do with being revamped

QuadHeliX 25th November 2003 15:52

added mouse support

justin just added mouse support to AVS.
This is big!! It means that a skin now can be shipped with custom games ect... we have 23 AVS presets and now I will be trying to add 2 or three games with it.

-=RoNtZ=- 25th November 2003 22:22

yay! let'S include "matrix, the game" in it! *LMAO*

QuadHeliX 27th November 2003 04:39

volume seek

whats the attribute

i know seeker is
<slider
id="Seeker"
action="SEEK"
x="140" y="82"
w="59" h="6"
thumb="player.main.normal.lcd.seek" downthumb="player.main.normal.lcd.seek"
tooltip="Seek"
/>

but forgot if there is a wasabi volume seek.

QuadHeliX 27th November 2003 06:23

here is Shade

1 Attachment(s)
coded most of it. still need to put seeker and volume seek. I went with Xcaliber AI's buttons theme just to keep everything looking smooth. Also has a red glow.

Anyone know the direct link commands to the internet radio and internet TV in the media list.?

SLoB 27th November 2003 12:19

thers one in the main player :)
above the songticker, its visible for the now and the code in the track updates the songticker with the volume seek & mouse wheel :)
<slider id="player.main.normal.lcd.volume.hidden"
thumb="player.main.normal.lcd.volume.hidden"
x="139" y="140"
action="volume"
h="6" w="62"
tooltip="Volume"
/>

shade looks cool, altho i reckon either the stick is too small on the height or the buttons are too tall
