Major Memory leak / bug in Winamp 2.91

Ok, I searched the forums first before posting and I found a thread on a memory leak, but no real resolution. So I'm reviving this topic.

In a nutshell? Memory Leak. Bigtime.

I'll be using Winamp and then suddenly Winamp will decide to allocate 500+MB of RAM and 500+MB of Virtual Memory without any explanation. This memory and VM is never returned until the application is closed.

From my troubleshooting experience, the bug seems to be triggered by very specific MP3s in my collection. It's not arbitrary or random. And it only seems to happen with MP3s (my Ogg Vorbis files don't seem to trigger the memory leak.)

This would lead me to think that the memory leak is in the MPEG decoder and not necc. Winamp itself. (But I could be wrong...)

Any nullsoft programmers aware of this problem?

Okay, after doing some more looking, this bug is apparently fixed in version 2.95 (which is strangely not hosted on Winamp.com)

Because 2.91 was the last official release of Winamp 2.x
2.92 was a leaked alpha/beta and 2.95 was a leaked beta/release candidate.
Both were the forerunners for Winamp 5.0 (currently available as Beta 2)

*whacked*
