Germ 12th November 2003 00:21

Cyu probably has a popup blocker or something. Hey, how about all you goobers on the list e-mail complaining about that dialog box bug so we can annoy him into fixing it :)

It's as pointy as any other site. I challenge you to find one pointier. =)

CarboHidrat 12th November 2003 03:19

This matter will appear with Winamp5 final release.

s1138 12th November 2003 03:31

its winamp 5. not winamp5

DJ Egg 12th November 2003 04:10

lol, yeah . . . nice one s1138 . . . that gets to me too.

Winamp = Winamp 0.x | Winamp 1.x | Winamp 2.x | Winamp 5.x
Winamp3 = Winamp3

Could Justin have meant "10 days until Winamp3 Lite Version"?

Please don't hack me to death.

Rellik 12th November 2003 04:17

I trip on that too, but the only other form is the WA5 quickie, as in WA5-UP!

If he would have been talking about Winamp3, he would have said 10 years. no harm intended

horse-fly 12th November 2003 04:44

well they did say that w5 would be release in November, and it is november

will 12th November 2003 07:28

If this is accurate, Winamp 5 will be released on my birthday.

hoot!

Die

zootm 12th November 2003 14:50

i don't think i ever put a space in winamp2 either. i just can't be arsed, really ;)

DrO 12th November 2003 16:02

does it really matter if it's put as Winamp 2, Winamp5, wa2, w5 or whatever??

as long as the number is there then people know what version you are talking about (apart from a few but there will always be a few ;) )

@will: have to hope so - would be nice present :)

No. AOL is (almost) dead. TimeWarner-Nullsoft Winamp 5.0 would be correct. :p

DJ Egg 12th November 2003 17:58

It differentiates between the two products (Winamp and Winamp3), that's all.

Maybe.

whatboy 12th November 2003 20:11

I really like to see the difference between winamp5 and winamp 5.......I tell you what people worry about this days its incredible

ryan 12th November 2003 20:19

I wish a new version of fb2k would come out on my birthday :D..

lunarboy1 12th November 2003 22:26

speaking of versions... isn't it actually:

Winamp3 1.0 ? :D

Just thinking about this: If wa3 didn't exist at all, would wa5 have come earlier? Just something for you to ponder before you go to bed :).

Russ 12th November 2003 22:35

It's Winamp3 1.0 technically. I hate that though. Having even the possibility of a Winamp3 and a Winamp 3.0 is just too horrible to think about.

That's sort of a silly question. I think a better one is: what would have happened if AOL weren't involved?

We'd probably be on Winamp3 v1.8 or something by now, and have the best damn player ever... and we could've probably called it Winamp 3.8 without there being any confusion whatsoever.
Bigger hypothetical question: What would PP be doing? Still coding for Winamp3? Living it up in California? Or would he have quit and gone along with fb2k regardless? Or both?

[edit] yeah, that got a great response . . . heh [/edit]

T minus 7

kilgore 12th November 2003 23:36
