Can someone please help!?!
 

I've had my computer for like 6 months now and it's allways played mp3s and burnt CDs fine. Then sometime last week it just stopped. Roxio Easy CD 5 & Jukebox Pro wont let me burn CDs and it says that mp3 files are an unrecognizable format on any program I try to listen to them on. Can someone PLEASE help me!?! I'm getting really frustrated. I havent installed/uninstalled ANYTHING in weeks except Windows Updates. Thanks for your help.


I do dl through bittorrent if that helps any.

Re-install Roxio and Jukebox Pro. The installers should re-assign the file associations, and your MP3s should be recognised.

[Why]
I'm guessing that the Windows updates you've installed have somehow borked your file associations. Re-installing the programs you'd like to have associated with these files, will re-enter the data into your Registry that tells Windows which application to use for those file types.
