Your views on whats right, wrong and whole lotta other philosophy
 

How do you define what is "right" and "wrong"? How do you define it? Is it simply a feeling in your heart that this is wrong/right? Is it what the law says is right? Do you believe that that you'llspend eternity hangin with satan if you are bad, how do you even define bad in a universal sense? Is murder bad? What if he desirved it? Is it still wrong?

For different people in different places right and wrong are different.
Something that is right for you may not be right for me, vice versa.
I would say it depends on the person. their values and beliefs.
But some things are just wrong any way you look at it, murder,rape, etc.

omg we had so much discussion about this in our philosophy class. BTW if you want a good philosophy book go rent or buy Being Good by Simon Blackburn.

The values of right and wrong, imo, are defined by the collective movement of society or the most overbearing morally indignant religious group that is present. Right and wrong are only what the human mind says it to be.

Wow, my beliefs about right and wrong have been pretty much summed up by nol ess than three people. I don't particularily care for the words 'right, wrong, good, and evil', at least when they are used as constants, as if the persons views are obviously correct. I dont really consider anything right or wrong, I mostly see it as what is beneficial to society and what isn't. Therefore, murder of a human is usually not beneficial to society (killing a serial murderer though would be), but killing an animal for food is good. You see what im saying?
But then again im still a little stumped on the entire objective of society in the first place, besides survival, so the entire concept of good and bad are a little pontless anyways (pointless to me, right now; perhaps not pointless to you).

Right and wrong are pounded into the minds of the feeble minded and young. There's always a certain time that one thing could be right, but during any other situation be wrong.

It depends on your own views, and your own beliefs.

Unless you wish to drag religion into the mix as your guide for ethics and morality, then that opens up it's own can of worms.

I figure that, with living a life (hopefully) where I help more people than I harm, and do more good than evil, I will be a candidate for salvation and then spend the rest of my spiritual existence in some heaven-like place.

Also, what is right ethically in society, depends on what you believe as well, and you could believe Aristotle, in which case what Aristotle believes what is virtuous is good, but NIetzsche would look at as absurd.

So basically, what is right is right and wrong, and what is wrong is right on wrong depending on who's beliefs you believe in. You have to make up your own damn mind based on what is naturally good and bad, not socially, because I could be living in a society of serial killers and so serial killing would be accepted as good by SSJ4's logic.
