Signs of the Apocalypse

1 Attachment(s)
There are things evident in society each and every day that make me wonder how much time is left for humanity.
Things like General Bush bringing the entire planet's hatred upon the U.S., global warming and the ever increasing 'Holy War'
But if you look closer at the ordinary things that aren't so ordinary, things like really shitty drivers, hackers and people who show lack of respect for anyone or anything.
I know I'm not the only one who sees these signs and with my newly enhanced sense of premonition, it all becomes clear.
Have you seen a sign of the apocalypse?
One such example:

horse-fly 16th November 2003 04:22

uh... what am i looking at?

I don't get the image El. but I would have to say the worsening of normal every day childhood illnesses that seem to be getting worse could be a sign of what is yet come.

randman 16th November 2003 04:32

It is scary those particular threads haven't slipped to page 3 yet. :weird:

Notice the extreme timespan between posts.
Odd for GD:igor:

New sign of the apocalypse:
Alec Baldwin hosting SNL.........again.
On a lighter note:
SNL commercial spoof of Huggies thong diapers for infants:D

Bazman63 16th November 2003 04:39

It's a sign, man. It's a sign.

Yeah, that is weird. What's weirder is I didn't notice until you pointed it just now. I cry for my lost youth and the not so slow loss of my brain cells. :hang:

cmountford 16th November 2003 05:09

Yeah, I've been wondering why that is. It's almost like people choose not to see stuff in the forums but they are displayed as browsing/online---they just don't reply to things.

It's almost like they're ignoring threads. :weird: Are people just choosing not to see or reply to certain things or what?

but to totally ignore certain threads but not other? How do you explain that? Is it that they are worried about their reputation? Or what?

Coincidence or sign of the impending apocalypse?

The fact that three imposing forum figures have birth dates within a four day time period?

Bilbo - Dec. 10
ElChevelle - Dec. 11
rm' - Dec. - 13

Is this something we should fear, stand in open-jawed wonder of, or just simply ignore? - randman

Meh, the signs of the Apocalypse have been around since ancient times.

Wars? One BIG Check
Famine? Check
Immoral Behavior? Check
Lack of respect for Authority? Check
Bad people controlling and taking advantage of people? Check
Plagues? Check
Corruption? Check

These things come and go in waves and in different parts of the world. Just because there's a famine, war, corruption and disease going on at the same time doesn't mean the end is near (though the Apostles stated that the end is always near, because we don't know when it will come). Think about how it felt during the Black Death. I'd think the end was near too when people were dropping dead like flies all around.

The things we see today have been going on since antiquity, just in different forms and with different people/weapons/diseases.

Another sign is that blindness is starting to be quite common. Example:

Or people's taste in cars:

Why do people have to look for signs? We have no idea when it will happen. You should already be living as if it could happen in 10 seconds, anyway.

Take that to mean whatever you want, and don't start YARD (yet another religious debate).
