This is my first post in winamp.forum
I am newbie, I start my first post with this title:

PC's are male or female?

The one I'm on is a bastard, therefor male, QED.
My one is a Bitch, therefor femail, again QED.

1. No one but the Creator understands their internal logic.

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.

3. The message "Bad command or file name" is about as informative as, "If you don't know why I'm mad at you, then I'm certainly not going to tell you."

4. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval.

5. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

Five resons why PC's are male

1, Ask them to do somthing, they dont
2, Ever seen a computer cleaning?
3, Computers will, given the chance, sit in one place all day doing nothing.
4, No self respecting woman would alow you to install windows on her
5, They will never understand how you feal.

HY, I never thought anyone would ask this question. Probably girls like to think they are girls and boys like to think they are boys. Girls set desktop wallpapers to puppies, toys (or who knows what, maby a pink desktop theme), boys usualy like a wallpaper with an action movie or something. I personly like to think thei are male (i am a boy).
I does not realy matter but in my country (romania) there is a difference between male nouns and female nouns. like : elephant is "un elefant" and two elephants is "doi elefanti", desk is "o masa and two desks is "doua mese", so it is "o" for silgular female and "un" for singular male, the plural is "doi" for plural male and "doua" for plural female. There is another type of noun "neutru", these nouns have male singular and female plural , "compouter" is one of them : "un computer" and "doua computere".
So I do not really have an answer.

Idunno about male or female, but some times it is a piece of shit. :(

When you all read the first post, did it seem like someone might be using ban evasion? The grammar seems to follow a trend started by two of our favorite banned users.

my main rig is female, her name is Betty
my server's name is Roger that would be male
and my Shuttle's name is Nitaila and as you guessed it that would be a female too.

a mother board the videocard and the OS will tell you the sex of your computer, if it bitches at you alot of course its a female. but if it works just fine and never has any problems just lke yer best friend its a male.

I think my computer is both. Sometimes it's a fucking bitch, other times it's a little bastard. It all depends on what mood I'M in!

imac's = female :p

I've not personified my laptop nor my computer, but since my main rig is very tempermental at times and I work it like a dog all day I'd call it female. ;) I'd also call my laptop female because it's my bitch when I'm on the go. ;)

Anyway, My PC must be male, It only does what I want it to do when it wants to. Then again, it could be female, 'cuz if I overload it with work, it crashes.

my pc is an old bitch. It takes an hour to process anything and always complains about some interal error, possibly hardware degradation.

In italian "the computer" would have masculine object pronoun "il" infront "il computer" and most of the language comes from the Roman language which had a major influence in european languages. But then again, you can't just be going and saying this is male because it's shit or this is female, "someone else a long time ago already said it and it's been like that since"

Well... the computer is a hunk of plastic, metal, and electricity... so I can not really call it anything. And its name is CPU.. so once again, cant do a thing...
But, if one must.... I say.... it is nothing, seeing it can not reproduce on its own.

How are we sure it's shaba? If I remember, shaba's grammar was worse than mine in first grade...and this sudden improvement in grammar use by heavy metal seems out of place. Did someone pm him before banning him?

here's my clue, why would most any new members make their very first post in the GD? especially if it's something silly like this.

That was what bugged me about carbo, all he did was post almost(?) entirely in the GD, and next to nowhere else.

I would suspect that most of us first came here looking for Winamp related support and stayed for the entertainment :p

well, GD is the main page for Winamp...logically you would post general stuff in GD. I'm always for giving the person benefit of the doubt. What proof was used to justify banning him? If it's IP and a pm was sent explaining that they were believed to be an alias of the currently banned shabaviz, and if it's a mistake, email a moderator---then I think it's a fair ban. I'm just curious what the proof is.
