Also, don't store more than 50 drops worth in a container and store them separate places. I'd rather not give out the recipe unless it's in safe hands (hardly given it will be used...but you know what I mean)

well, actually I don't exactly have the recipe, but given a few hours I could probably re-create it. It was sort of a freak accident, but I have a hunch for the critical ingredients

The drops I mentioned are sort of enhancers, but they require a can full of oil (motor oil from cars works fine; I'd like to try diesel sometime) & either TP or paper towels rolled up in the can

Sealant epoxy produces a decent flame; so does superglue, hair products (with alcohol in them; hair gel is good for mixing other flammable stuff in, but you'll need a glue thinner (a lot of it) to thin down the mixture when you're ready to use it. Gel is more safe). Oh, and a little water in the mixture really makes the oil fire flare up...but be VERY careful.

Hey, if anybody tries this, DON'T SUE ME; I am in no way suggesting that anybody do this or giving any indication that it's legal. This is just me babbling about random stuff, the moment you act upon what is written, it becomes your responsibility.

Written in ElChevelle's thread about his bad day. Thought this seemed appropriate for "don't try this at home"

Video wasn't as great as I thought, although the one cd that traversed the room like 3 times was pretty cool. Dman that thing had to have a ton of inertia...

hungryskull 21st November 2003 23:04

I wouldn't want to get hit by an exploding CD;) .

You mean the one that rolled up the skateborad?

The CD thing happened to my friend's StarCraft CD once. His computer crashed while the CD was starting to load, but the DVD-ROM drive kept going faster and faster until eventually, there was a huge explosion in the drive and the CD ended-up in a million pieces...

Talk about WMD's (weapons of mass destruction)...just hold it above your head; especially dangerous if you could figure out a way to power it in a large crowd.

dlinkwit27 21st November 2003 23:50

they already tested this on Mythbuters on the Discovery Channel. Also the CD fragments don't do any real damage. a guy on the show was hit by a shard, and it didn't even break the skin.

monday, im gonna try it when no ones home...:)

Lmao, here's another few things not to do related to computers:
Don't mess with the BIOS (I have 1 motherboard with a blank BIOS now, "It wasn't my computer either :o")
Don't swap power supplies EVEN if you know they are 100% cross compatible (I now have a blown PSU a screwed VGA and probably alot of other devices went with it too, "not my computer that time too")
FYI: They are my parents computers, :igor: but we're talking 586's here so not that bad... All in a days work, literally :(
