While we're on the subject: Who celebrates Thanksgiving here anyway?

Just curious, since technically Thanksgiving is an American holiday of the English pilgrims coming to America and setting in the colonies, and it would be kind of odd for any other nation to celebrate the holiday because of this (Unless you're European also)...

But for the record, even though half my family are Filippinos (Mom's side), we still celebrate it as much as my dad's side of the family (Americans)...Before my dad devorced my mom, he said that my mom's side of the family never celebrated Thanksgiving...The possibility is because of my sister getting married to a guy who's of American descent, but this has been going on long before that, so I have no idea why now...

Oh hell, why am I complaining...FOOD! :D

Ah, a day of feasting and gaining 10 lbs. Plus my annual tradition, watching football.

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!!

I'm glad it's over with. Normally, it's just my dad and myself in this house. Today, there was over a dozen people in here. Almost half of them were kids... further support for my decision to never reproduce. The food was good, but damn man, everything else just irritated the shit out of me.

laz 28th November 2003 04:01

Well, its over, was alright, nothing special. nice food.
now time for my birthday! 3, wait 2 days!

hungryskull 28th November 2003 22:37

MidnightViper88 29th November 2003 00:25

Yeah...What's up with Canadians celebrating Thanksgiving Day a month earlier than the US anyway? :weird:
