Wondering just how sony will craft its PS3 here is a possibility.

Not only are they now whooping Xbox on the quality of there games and hardwear, there now whooping them in lack of taste.

That looks fucking stupid. I want a damn system to actually fit in my entertainment system for once. I don't want a retarded looking round system laying on my floor because of the way its made. I just hope they don't end up releasing it in just a dumb color at first like GC. Damn that little purple box looks nasty next to a completely black entertainment system...

That does look pretty tacky. If only they would just sell PS motherboards and the like so more techy minded people could just upgrade instead of spending 300 on a new system :mad:

All the "leaks" are fake, do you not understand? I do not even think they have a desing set now, I mean, they would sill be working on making the hardware, and then the design. I care more about what the hardware can do then what it looks like.
And I love the gamecube, its soo small, and cubes are awsome, they have the best volume vs surface area. And in black, it look soo badass.

Sony is going to recreate the controller/memory card so that you have to buy new ones. The Ps2 was about compatibility. The Ps3 will be about new technology, ie better controller design (THANK GOD) different controller port design, probably 4 players if they arent stupid and the whole cell cpu archtechture. This pic cant be it cuz it has the original ports and memory card slots.

Besides its a concept deisgn. Even if it is fake concept designs never make it to the final design. They are always suppose to be more over the top than the final release.

They aren't stupid. Selling you a multitap makes more money than selling you a console with four controller ports.

And nobody can tell me that the Platinum GameCube doesn't look awesome. I'm not fond of the original Indigo color, but the Platinum and Jet Cubes look great. I've got one Platinum and two Jet Cubes in my collection of Nintendo hardware.

Yes, Multitap failed so badly on PS1 that they used it for PS2, where it failed so badly that they're considering using it for PS3... :rolleyes:

Oh! I get it! The more necessary things you force the consumer to buy, the more money you'll make!

I'm looking forward to the PS3 that doesn't come with a controller, power adapter, or video cable.


Really, I can't believe you guys are arguing for Sony. WE, the consumers, have to pay THEM extra for what is standard on every other console. How can you possibly like that?

it's a pity it's a fake. it looked a hell of a lot prettier than the (ugliest console ever) PS2.

ps2 is nowhere near ugly. and a matter of fact i really like its strange look.

Gamecube is the only system that looks stylish.

gamecube looks ok, yeah. consoles in general could look better, though. i wouldn't say the Xbox is ugly. it just looks like a machine, for gaming. the gamecube looks like an accessory. the PS2 just looks like a heatsink.

i agree with zoomt on the what things look like category.

The PSOne/2 controller is about the best out there, currently, if you ask me, mainly cause it's based on the SNES controller.

In my opinion, the Xbox has the best control style.

I love the controller. It's nice how it fits perfectly in your hand. Mmm, yeah.

Here we go with the controller topic again... :rolleyes: There's a thread somewhere in this forum for that already (go ahead and search for it because I'm too lazy to go find it :p), and I've already voiced myself in there.

Anyways, back on topic... I don't think the PS2 is ugly, but rather "interesting" for a lack of better terms to describe it. That doesn't, however, negate the fact that it's a Sony. And still, the Xbox is just fugly.

u gotta admit it looks good but don'tu think that it is abit too big for a ps3....i mean look at the contoller port on ur ps2 and compare to the body then compare the controller port in the ps3 with the ps3 body...darn...it's body is absulotley HUGE...and maybe they want to make it have a totally new concept but still utilizes the old controllers and mermory cards but with a new type of games but still compatible......it could be a fake but u gotta admit...it looks like what sony would design...
PS: ohh and yeah the xbox is way ugly and heavy for it's gaming class

The PS controller may be based off the SNES one but I'd prefer the SNES design.
The XBox controller may be based off the dreamcast one but come on. The xbox was designed better.

This is based on my hands and what they tell me when I hold these various input devices. I love the XBox type S. I'm not sure what they type s is based on and I dont care. All I know is I like it more than all the others I have tried. I just wish it had the thumbsticks of the original Xbox fatty. I hate the PS2 controller. Gamestop has this PS2 controller that they branded and if feels perfectly comfortable. If I had a PS2 this is what I would use. I saw it a few days ago. Its very nice.

Or if your dead set on one systems controller just get a universal system adaptor for it. Use your GC controller on a xbox or what not.

Damd right, I very nearly bought one of those off ebay the other night, only things stopping me were..

1) Massive price 250 uk pounds and bidding hand't finished
2) It was Jap only and not modded to play region2 dvd's, or euro cube games.

Nice it was though, was the very limited chrome version as well.

never bought a multi tap, never will

Very few people buy the multi tap so less games are multi player in the PS2. Plus the hardware wouldnt be able to handle four people at higher resoultions as well as other four player consoles.

whats wrong with there controlers. i really like em. althouh they could a little bit of tweeking. i made modified one of my controlers. i made one have 2 big shockers instead of one little one big now there both big.

If four controller ports were standard on the PS2, more games would be 1-4 players.
