Why are the mods here male?
 

I dont want to be a mod. I definately dont want the responsiblity but I was wondering why are all the mods in the winamp forums male?

It has to do with human anatomy. You see, there is a difference between boys and girls and .....

And since our mods have that 3rd leg, they are male.

There have been female mods, but they were smart and went on to a normal life.

Jayn and SLK were mods. They just decided to move on and reintegrate with normal life again :)

In other words, they can get laid, we can't. So we settle for the next best thing... ;)

i was always in favour of making metallichica mod a while back, but another GD mod wasn't really needed at the time.

Men are the only ones sad enough to want too do it.

Not necessarily true. When it comes to business with me I can be the most ruthless b**** in the world. I had to fire my best friend off a job once. That really sucked but it was business.

When a job needs to be done women can do it. I would just rather play here than have to work :)

I'll admit I'd like to be a mod someday. Doesn't mean it can't happen, I just don't think it will. ^_^

But what is with that... When someone says they DON'T wanna do something, or DON'T ask for something... People assume they want it? No means no. No doesn't mean 'OH YES I'LL SAY NO TO SEEM COOL BUT YEAH I REALLY WANT IT.'

On the subject of female moderators, I should note that ShyShy is a mod on another forum, and she does an outstanding job.

It's just a matter of interest and statistics. If more women asked to be mods here, then there would probably be more female mods.

I know this thread is old but I haven't replied to it back then so I do it now :D

I am female and a mod at another place as well but I'd never be a Winamp mod (not that I think that I would ever become one nayway, don't get me wrong) for 2 reasons:

1. There are too many techincal questions asked where I'd have no idea about and I couldn't be helpful

2. I still have a real life and don't have the time to really get involved with the forums that much to read all the threads and do the mod work.

I think it is simply because there are so many more men in the fourm (I guess that less than 5% of the people that actually post quite regularily are girls) so of course there are more male mods as well, the 2 females have left for their real life (my reason #2) so that kind of explains itself....

I guess women have more sence than guys and have much more of a social life to be bothered with being mods lol. (No offence to the women who do want to be mods)
I don't wanna be a mod I'm already a sub admin on another site and head of my own forums and stuff so I really couldn't be bothered to do anything important here. :rolleyes: :p
