Well...it seems that I have made one heck of an impression on some of you. I have you all know that Savage Garden is much more then a "boy band"...I recommend listening to a non released track....then come talk to me!..

I assure you that apola and I are not one in the same...though it does seem that we share some tastes. I happen to be a career long fan of Nsync as well as Savage Garden and the solo Darren Hayes. What the heck..throw Britney in there too..Okay, I'm a semi-pop freak but that's all cool. I like a wide variety of music. It's all about the lyrics...course you gotta have some fun music to shake your booty to too.

I can't speak for everyone here but I respect all music.....well, except rap and those REALLY bubblegum pop acts (Hillary Duff).

It's all good.
Music make the world go around.

Oh....apola....I think me and you are gonna get alone just fine.. :)

Everyone else...be afraid..be very afraid...lol!..na I'm just messing with ya. I'm easy going! I respect all music. (now I sound like a broken record!)

in that case welcome jess to the forums.

you've just said that you respect all kinds of music which means i hope you can join in other threads to talk about music and not just mentioning boy bands with every post you make

btw were are you from?

Namelessv1 8th December 2003 22:27

As long as you're not 100% obsessed and cram some reference to boy-bands into every single one of your posts, you'll be fine.

JackalFace 8th December 2003 22:28

I've noticed that about Apola and I've been here, what, a couple of days. I can see how it can be annoying. Content and redundance in one. How enjoyable.

MontyGail 8th December 2003 22:56

Well, I give you premission to smack me of the forhead if I do that too much....just beware. I may bite!..

When it comes to music I always have an opinion...even if I don't know what I'm talking about and ......I'm up for new things.

Wow!wow!wow!
Hi Jess, welcome to the forum.I can't tell you how happy I'm.Lemme tell you I’m expecting a lot from you ........keep posting 'bout pop music.
Anyways, lets get back to the topic.I didn't mention some music videos of boy bands that are made from real videos from their tours or live shows. These are great 'cause you can see how much they care for the fans and how much the fans feel for them.Lemme mention I want it of BSB where you can see a girl crying......... has to touch your heart.
And here are some more
The one_BSB
Closer to me_Five
25 minutes_MLTR
There’s a lot more but as I’m having exams now so can’t just go through my DVD’s & find all.

MontyGail 13th December 2003 04:29

I find nothing more annoying the live "boy band" videos.....crying 12 year old girls annoy the hell out of me. Heck I'm an NSYNC fan...have been for years but I can honestly say that the image of Justin smacking his butt on stage or hitting a high note has never been something to whip me into an emotional frenzy.

*just doesn't see the point*

It's all about the video editing. They don't show you /why/ the girls are crying. Then again most pop fans wouldn't like seeing the Boy Bands true demonic visages and the whips of flame. :)

Anyways, my personal favorite video is Stabbing Westward's "Shame."

Refused - New Noise

.. mmm need to think of some more.

apola_anamisha 13th December 2003 13:53

What’s wrong with that? Do you think its fake? Ya, may be you don’t understand that why that teenage girl is emotional but I can.........

So the girl cries when she comes to see them live…….. she has reasons. Its like dream coming true. She could never expect that one day she can see these boys live so if she cried that is natural.
Not only in that particular song .........in a lot of live songs or semi-live songs I’ve seen fans crying............And I know that why they cry coz I’m a fan too. It’s not a show or fake.those vides are just great, pure examples of the contribution of boy-bands and how much we the fans respect that contribution.

So don’t insult our feelings, emotions or whatever............ in this way. Its not bad to tease a particular genre (pop, boybands etc).............but everything has a limit:(

Raz 13th December 2003 14:35

How many people in the world have a good voice? A lot. Let's say 10% of the world can sing for the sake of argument. Now get all the good looking ones, shove some lyrics in front of them and teach them how to dance. Now put them on stage to sing or possibly mime because we can't be exhausting our precious stars now can we. This makes people cry with happiness?

The world is doomed.

MidnightViper88 13th December 2003 16:39

Metallica - Enter Sandman
Any Tool music video

Spazz333 13th December 2003 21:47

I find live videos of any kind annoying. I want to be entertained when watching videos. Not being bored to death damnit. Live is only fun when you are live with it.

That being said. I mainly mock things that are exact carbon copies of other music, like Death Metal, a lot of Punk, Pop, and of course Rap. There are exceptions of course but they are few in my experience.

<edit> Don't mind me. Just squashing the typo bug </edit>

I don't know why but I think Apola and Taylor ought to get together. I think they'd learn something from each other.

I don't think I have a favorite video, maybe this one by a band called Satanicide, can't remember the name of the song but the video was hilarious. It was on some MTV, Moby picks the videos thing.

Update: Found it. Click on the far right skull at the bottom for videos and watch the Jer-Z Knights video.

My hands down favorite video of all time would have to be Aerosmith - Janies Got A Gun. The imagery and the song is absolutely perfect.

Ummmmm no, no and NO! They happen to be my favourite band, at least I don't rave on about them 24/7 like she does.

And BTW I happen to like alot of other vidoes aswell, my taste is NOT fixated like hers, so basicly there is a big difference, and the fact that its metal/rock vs pop means that no we wouldn't learn anything from eachother.

Tool - Schism
Tool - Parabola
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
R.E.M - Bad Day. Just saw that one.

Doggy Dog 1st January 2004 22:00

Rammstein - Sonne (all time fav)
Rammstein - Engel
Rammstein - Seemann
Blur - Song 2
Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up (wonder why MTV banned it  )
Let 3 - Drama (a Croatian song)

And some more, will update it when I remember them.
