Webcam Mic & Broadcast Problems

I have a QuickCam Pro 3000 webcam with a built-in mic that connects to the USB port. When I try to broadcast, the quality of the music is very poor and my mic is picking up things when it shouldn't be at all.

In Volume Control, I have the Microphone turned all the way down.

Under Recording, the Microphone is UNselected and turned all the way down. Stereo Mixer is selected and turned up about halfway.

Other than switching back and forth between Soundcard Input and Winamp under Input Device, is there any way to broadcast properly without the microphone picking up things when it shouldn't be?

If you are using the camera just for the mike, why not buying a cheap mike at Radio Shack and plug in to your audio card. If you got a little more money, use an audio mixer trough your line in on your sound card.
