Log erased
 

Ermm, like a complete dumbass, and to cut the size of my log,i....ermmm...deleted it. My question is, i've made a file called sc_serv.log in notepad and uploaded it to the same catalog as the sc_serv programme, but it wont write anything to the log...what must I do?

make sure that the log file is writable by sc_serv (by way of chmod and user ownership) and restart sc_serv if you haven't since you deleted the log.

well, what do you know!!!! A simple restart of sc_serv was required....now it's working like a mutha!!!. I'm trying to understand php now so that i can have a now plating box on my website....but it all looks alien for me...i think i may give it a miss...thanx for the help
