Tracks skipped on Retail CD's (WA 5.0)
Couldn't find any record of this through a forum search, so please excuse if I am rehashing old news...
When playing retail CD's through WinAmp 5.0, certain tracks will simply not play. (Shuffle is not turned on.) For example, the CD will start with track 2, rather than track 1, proceed from 2 to 4, then on to 10. Any attempt to select other tracks simply results in the track name showing briefly in the title window, then being replaced by the next track that the player is "willing" to play. (i.e. double-clicking or otherwise selecting track 8 results in track 8's title being briefly displayed, replaced with track 10's title, and then track 10 beginning to play.) Has anyone run into this? Any ideas of how to resolve? Again, these are the retail CD's themselves, not burned backup copies. Regards, raindog |
Bump for some new eyes...

Could be an artefact of CD copyprotection - what CD?

Are they enhanced/mixed CDs? Try the following...
Right-click on a "empty" space in the main or player window > select 'Play' > select 'Audio CD x:' where "x" is the drive of choice -or- Click on the menu icon (top left of title bar) > select 'Play' > select 'Audio CD x:' where "x" is the drive of choice |
