Display only audio files?
Back when I was using Winamp 2.X (the best, clearly.), I hit the add button and hit dir for directory and added my whole kazaa shared folder. Why is it that when I do it now it adds all files, including videos? I don't want them! I hit audio only but it STILL displays videos! Help! Add Dir was my favorite function :(

Add the files to the media libary, then right click on Audio ---> Send To ---> New playlist
ps you can also set the media library to rescan you kazaa folder under the prefrences |
Hmm . . .
Yup, cheezychop's solution is sweet . . . but... There's no way to specify which filetypes to Add when you use: Add -> Dir (Add -> Folder) It just adds all supported filetypes. You can specify which filetypes to add when using: Add -> File(s) Did you actually want Winamp to support / be able to play video files? If not, then you should've unchecked support for Video Files (AVI/MPG/ASF/WMV) in the installer setup. And if you didn't want support for Nullsoft Video - NSV (Internet TV) then you should've unchecked that also, and then the video player wouldn't have been installed. What you can do is: Go to: Prefs -> Plugins -> Input -> Nullsoft DirectShow Decoder -> config and remove the filetpes from the extension box that you don't want Winamp to support. It's either that or store Audio & Video files in different folders, or use Add -> Files instead of Add -> Dir Sorry, but that's just the way that it is... |

I checked that I didn't want video files. BUt I still find all my initial D avi's in there. |
