Video plug-ins dont work on WA5
 

I thought winamp 5 was supposed to be backwards compatible with 2.X and 3.X plug-ins but when I try to play divx movies I dont get any video. I know the one I used in WA2 would use the internet browser window to display the video but I think nullsoft axed that in WA5.

When I do try to play video, Winamp 5 attempts to play it in the Media Library window. Any ideas?

Winamp 5.0 supports Winamp 2.X plug-ins, but not Winamp3 1.0 plug-ins.

Though as long as you have the DivX drivers DinX files should play fine. try reinstalling the Full version of Winamp and trying a different video.

Well, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it worked. I guess its because I installed it right over RC10. However, the performence is poor. I have a 1.6ghz P4 w/ 32mb video card; I figure that should be enought to handle it. Too bad you just can slap a modern skin on WA2. I never had problems with it.
