Rear speakers of my 5.1 system do not work with winamp 5

I just installed winamp 5 and i noted that the rear speakers of my 5.1 system do not play. My speaker system works well in winamp 3. I have an SB live 5.1 soundcard installed. Anything i can do to remedy this. thanx.
