Sounds like a plan, how bout I send some burnt CD's over??:D

Cylob 24th December 2003 11:34

:D With the way technology's going, you could soon be able to burn off an album on someboday else's PC. You could say 'put a blank disc in chum, here's an album'.

It'll happen before I get a grey hair...

Most likely.

Actually, I was doing that remotely at Sun Microsystems in 2000-2001. JavaTutor installers rather than music tracks, dialing in to the network from home, access installer build workstation, remote (CD-RW) drive access, burn to the CD-R I'd leave sitting in the drive. You could just as easily burn CDA (or MP3's) to a remote CD-RW drive with the correct network access, even if you're connecting to the network (or just to a PC) remotely. :)

What I learned this year...

1. Hydrogenaudio is the center of the digital audio compression universe.
2. Over half of the time spent by the collective population of Hydrogenaudio is in research of how to eliminate artifacts in audio encoding.
3. They only SURE way to eliminate artifacts is to use lossless encoding.
4. To my surprise, my father can be turned into a fan of Pink Floyd, and a good bit of electronica and trip-hop as well.
5. Viralsound is teh coolness. ;) (Nothing essential, just fun to play with though.)
6. Eating too much chocolate makes me a fumbling klutz.
7. I can live without nicotine for at least a year, so therefore I can live without it forever.
8. Girls lie.
9. Boys lie too.
10. Holding a grudge sucks. Forgiveness is worth the emotional effort.
11. People pick on Apola too much.
12. A list with more than 10 items gets boring really fast.
13. Sometimes I don't know when to stop adding things to a list that's too long already.

Cylob 26th December 2003 09:30

:D
16. Family Edition of Trivial Pursuit is harder than Genius. How else could I lose to a 9 year old?
17. Pick a geography question and you get a question about the average bra-size of US women (I did get that one right though).:)
18. There are more Pizzicato Five albums than hairs on my body.

Never underestimate the knowledge of a 9 year old. Remember, while you're at work all day squeezing out knowledge, they're at school all day soaking it up. ;)
