DLL error when loading winamp
Every time I run winamp 5, the following message pops up:
The application or DLL c:\windows\system32\wmaudsdk.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette. Winamp then loads normally and works perfectly except it will not playback .wma files. I've tried reinstalling winamp( full install ) a few times, but the error is always there. wmaudsdk.dll is in my system32 dir and is 160k, last modified on 8/9/99. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks. edit: figured I should include some system info =) Currently running WinXP with media player 9 and all the most recent windows updates installed. |
try adding WMA to the list of extensions in the DirectShow plugin list, and delete the old WMA plugin, or disable it, by renaming it (eg. in_wm.dll.off). If that doesn't work, come back and someone more experienced may be able to offer another suggestion.
